The Battle For Jerusalem Rages On

We are less than two weeks away from the 9th of Av, marking the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem. Here, in the heart of the three weeks, the United States dares to contest Israel's sovereignty in its own capital, the home of our holiest site. The unmitigated gaul would surprise and shock me if it were not for the fact that Little Lord Fraudleroy is the White House Resident. This is exactly the kind of Jew hating maneuver I warned would happen if he were selected.

Today PJ Crowley confirmed that the US is against the Shepherd Hotel project, and construction in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria:

"We have made our views known to Israel. Our views are not new either: that this kind of construction is the type ... of issue that should be subject to permanent-status negotiations.

"...we are concerned that unilateral actions taken by the Israelis or the Palestinians cannot prejudge the outcome of these negotiations."

If they're so fucking concerned about Jews building on land owned by Jews, why are there no US calls for an end to illegal Arab construction?

What the United States fails to understand is that Jerusalem is no longer the subject of permanent-status negotiations. Jerusalem has been annexed, and is the capital of Israel. It is the United States that has failed to recognize this fact on the ground.

According to JPost, an Israeli official stated what we have always known; that there is a clear distinction between Jerusalem and other territories.

"No Israeli government ever agreed to restrictions in Jerusalem. On this there never was any diplomatic ambiguity."

In a demonstration as to how this issue may unite not only the Israeli people, but the Knesset as well, Kadima MK Otniel Schneller called for international Jewish organizations to help resist Marack's policies which he has characterized as

"not very different from that of [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud] Abbas."

He has also called on Jewish Agency head Natan Sharansky to help assist him in this effort, and in getting the Diaspora communities involved in defending Jewish sovereignty in what is referred to as the "Holy Basin", the neighborhoods around the Old City.

In his letter to Sharansky, Schneller stated:

"As head of the Jewish Agency, you bear the obligation of declaiming the nation's distress before the American administration - and no less importantly, before advisers to the current administration who are members of our own people." [That would be Axeldouche and Rhambo]

He also sent a letter to Jewish leaders in America, urging them to stand up to Marack to get him to back down on the Shepherd Hotel project, in which he made a strong reference to the 9th of Av:

A foreign superpower - call it Rome, Greece, whoever - came and destroyed the walls of the Jewish people in Jerusalem and took away their symbol of Jewish authority in Jerusalem - the holy Temple. Today in the 21st century, the world's most powerful state is trying to call into question the walls of our authority in Jerusalem. The thought makes me shudder, even though I know that the United States is our greatest friend, and I understand how much our physical existence is dependent on it."

What MK Schneller does not understand is that the United States is no longer the friend it once was, and has not really been the friend that Israelis, and most American Jews believe it to be. Not since the 1973 airlift has Israel seen such a genuine act of friendship, and even that was not done out of altruism. The weapons sales and money are tied to restrictions that curtail Israel's ability to export technology. The security interests of Israel are always trumped by the United States' thirst for Arab oil. Was it not the Bush administration that began demanding that Israel bisect the country to connect Gaza and a future PA state in Judea and Samaria? Was it not three successive administrations that legitimated the PA, despite their ongoing policy of genocide against the Jews of Israel? Which administration has taken the step of moving the United States' embassy to Israel's capital?

What sets this administration apart from ghosts of White House Past is that this one does not veil its hostility toward the Jewish state. It is open for all to see. It fills the heads of those who seek her destruction with a renewed bloodlust, and now openly declares that Jews may not build in our most sacred city. It is enough!

If I were an MK in the current government I would openly be calling for the ejection of Marack's ambassador. It's time Israel cut the cord with this poisoned relationship, and this Jew hating President. Until this Resident is gone, and the United States isn't dependent on sucking on the Arab oil teet, the United States will never be a true, trustworthy friend of Israel. Hell, this is a country where our own civil liberties are shit on every day by our government. What makes a Jew in Israel stupidly think that they will get a fair shake?

Send Marack's ambassador home. It's not as if he is going to come to Israel's defense if she's attacked. In fact, under this Resident, the United States would most likely be the loudest voice calling for Israel's surrender.

If the United States wants to broker talks let them move the embassy to Jerusalem first. Until then, the White House can shut the fuck up.
