It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

Though I have read the Old and New Testaments the best way; on my own, sans the influence of any organized religion, and I try to stay reasonably abreast of the news, I have to admit I feel ill-informed and equipped to comment on the recent, or even past conflict. Maybe more people should try that. That being said, the "everywoman" in me wishes there was something she could kiss and make it all better, the "everymother" in me wants to send everybody to their rooms until they learn how to get along, the "typical American asshole" in me wants to say, "not my problem," and wash my hands of the whole thing. But the human being in me just wants to cry.

This is the purpose of the Shtuey News Network. One cannot cry all the time...they'd dehydrate. :)
