How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Cooking with Gas in Gaza, With Sauce for the Hypocrite Geese.

I feel like I owe you a note here.  I still owe you some posts on my series on the whole Israel/Palestinian gig.  I got a little preoccupied trying to help wade through the memes, and hopefully avoided throwing out too many myself, but y'all oughta get it at this point.  Don't believe everything you're told, hear, or see about this.  I promise that I'm moving on...I think I may need to call in the little prince for supportive reality strikes.  I have a hard time being quiet though...duh.  So read the post, try and figure out what's what the best you can, and keep hoping this ends as quickly as possible with the safety and the security of the all the people, from all the weapons, finally coming to pass.

While the righteous indignation bombs continue to be lobbed at Israel today in the blogosphere, OMV is going to give you the straightest scoop it can on what happened with the UNRWA school incident today (complicated by the fact that the Israeli government, in spite of an Israeli Supreme Court ruling, is not allowing journalists to enter Gaza).

The IDF reports that its soldiers were taking mortar fire from Hamas crews stationed at UNRWA operated al-Fakhura school near the Jabaliya refugee camp.  The BBC reports that, according to UNWRA officials (the UN relief organization in Gaza that happens to fund the purchase of text books containing anti-Israel/Jewish propgaganda, and has Hamas terrorists on its payroll):
"three artillery shells had landed close (emphasis mine) to the al-Fakhura school on Tuesday afternoon, spraying shrapnel on people both inside and outside the building."
As a result at least 30 people were killed, and 55 wounded.  An unspecified number of children were among the dead.  I do not doubt that Hamas crews were firing on IDF forces from the school, in violation of international law.  Here they are doing it on the 29 October 2007.

Though the IDF could have killed these terrorists at the school before shooting the 2nd and 3rd mortars, they did not.  Why?  Because the terrorists were in front of a fucking school.  Yes, the IDF allowed Israel to absorb mortar fire on its own civilians rather than potentially kill the children inside, while the men who are supposedly fighting for them callously fire at Israeli children, in front of their UN operated school.

The IDF later reported that two members of Hamas rocket launching cells, Imad and Hassan Abu Askar, were killed by the Israel shells.

Since no one seems to be describing all the circumstances of the incident, I have no answer as to why the IDF showed restraint in 2007, but fired shells in this incident.  Obviously in a combat situation mortar fire must be neutralized.  I don't know whether snipers could have been used.  I don't know if the mortar crew would have responded to the approach of Israeli infantry by driving the children outside in front of them, as Palestinian terrorists have done for decades.  What I do know is that the IDF obviously made sure they did not directly hit the school in order to minimize civilian casualties.  No doubt there will be an investigation into the incident.  UNRWA is demanding an independent investigation, according to Haaretz, and wants anyone who violated international law to be indicted.  Well assholes, you might start with Hamas who had these clowns firing mortars from the school in the first place.  Last time I checked that was a violation of international law.

According to Article 28 of the Fourth Geneva Convention the presence of civilians “may not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations.”

 What does this mean?  It means that Israel does not have to refrain from attacking the mortar crew firing from the school.  It also means that Hamas is in violation of international law.  In accordance with the so-called "rule of distinction" if someone aims at a legitimate target, the attack is permissible, even when civilian deaths result.  That being the case, the IDF could have shelled the school directly, killing more civilians.  They did not do so.  In combat, that is showing restraint.  Repeat: UNRWA stated three shells landed close to the school.  I hate to tell you rabid dingdongs out there, but the only party that violated international law in the school incident today was Hamas. {for the record, that does not mean I'm like..."cool the IDF got to knock of some kids and it's all legal...giggity giggity giggity...y'all oughta know me well enough...I'm just sayin' when the bleeding heart Hamas are freedom fighter types get a hold of this they'll call the IDF war criminals...spawn of Satan...Pia Zadora know the you should know that they're full of shit, and the indisrciminate killing line is a ginormous lie}

So Code Stink, you gonna hit the streets tomorrow and protest Hamas' violation of international law?  Somehow I don't think you will.  Why would you?  You haven't been saying a word while Hamas was slaughtering Israeli children for years.  Not a peep over the last seven years while Hamas rockets have been falling on Israeli towns.  After all, they're only Israelis, so they deserve it.

How can I say that?  Because if the blood of innocent Jewish children meant as much to Code Pink as the blood of innocent Palestinian children, then we'd have some footage on the pro-Israel biased TV news, wouldn't we?

Since you Code Stinkers care so much for the Palestinian children who have died, as well you should, take a look at the faces of the Israeli children who were killed by Palestinian terrorists; children who were killed, not because Israeli soldiers were hiding behind them, but because they were Jewish children (an act of genocide, which is also a violation of the Geneva Conventions, but you don't really give a shit about that either).

You want to stand up outraged over the deaths of innocent children?  Please do, you absolutely should.  But if you don't stand up for the Israeli children too, then you're nothing but a bunch of worthless hypocrites who aren't worth the pot you piss in.  So look at these children, the children of the people you call oppressors, and tell me they deserved to die.  If you Leftist wackadoos, whether you're a Code Stinker or not, stand up for Hamas, an organization that holds the genocide of Jews in its charter, then the blood of these children is on your hands.

These are the children killed by Palestinian terror groups between 2000-2005.  These photos were part of a powerpoint presentation that appeared here.

I found them in this html format here.

Sleep tight you hypocritical assholes.

My colleague Sara asked a couple questions on No Quarter tonight.  The only questions that matter.  "whatwill it take to resolve this crisis? what will it take to get these attacks to stop, to end the desire to wipe out Israel, and to end the attacks on innocents?"

That's very simple Sara: when the world values the blood of innocent Palestinian and Israeli children with equal worth.

IDF: UN school used by rocket cell

What's to be done about Larry at NQ? I've stopped going there because I can't stand to see his attitude about the Gaza issue.

Thank you for posting this Shtuey ... Israel does not use children to hide behind like the hideous cowards hamas . When did it become " trendy" to sympathise with hamas and the genocide they try to perpetrate.
Do you think bo will equivocate on this crisis ??

In response to Ron:

I have to conclude that the anti-semitism on NQ must be bringing in lots of donations to that blog, else why would LJ continue to fan the flames, and present only one side of the story?

He has degraded into calling posters juvenile names.

What's to be done about NQ - Don't support it by reading or posting?
Certainly don't vote for it in the best political blog contest. I can understand NQ's posting stories of the Gaza offensive, but the rhetoric and frequency of the stories sounds more like a campaign than just blogging current events.

thanks for the post shtuey. I have been banned from NQ ( I was a regular posting under the moniker workingclass artist )....Why? Because I dissented from the Anti-Israel PC BS.
Keep writing the truth.
Folks need to WAKE UP...imho...

Workingclass artist has been banned from NQ? That is major news. I stopped going there since LJ started getting all "chomsky".

thanks for this. You know, I REALLy think it's still antisemitism.
Nobody cares if Jews die. News at 11, only it's not news.

workingclassartist, I always enjoyed reading your comments. It is hard to believe that you have been banned from NQ; what's going on, Susan wrote about dissent being welcome???
Thank you Shtuey, for keeping up your information. Don't let anyone get to you, just go your own way, keep your cool and report level headedly. Don't let anyone provoke you, lest you will react instead of directing your own actions. But who am I to advise you, it just came to mind like this.

I posted comments to NQ as Nobama for several months and then as NoBO starting in June when they published my article about meeting with John McCain. My Nobama blog is at

I have a major problem with the MSM and its double standard as regards Israel but also misogyny against Hillary during the campaign but also Sarah Palin. I understand that it isn't wise to do battle with the media but at least we can embarrass and humiliate them by comparing their coverage with some real, verifiable facts.

Blogs like this have become important to a lot of people who have stopped getting their news from TV or the press.

Thanks for telling it like it is, shtuey.

Ron, thanks for the link to the JPost story. I couldn't seem to locate it last night. NQ has brought out the lowest common denominator. The discourse from the campaign has degenerated into a whole lotta Israel bashing, flaming, and inane bullshit. What most of the people on those threads actually know about this situation and its history couldn't fill my bellybutton. Larry of course knows this, and uses it to his full advantage as he grinds his axe about Israel not being sufficient enough of a Jimminy Cricket to satisfy his worldview.

Swanspirit, thank you. The Leftists love nothing more than a cause, especially one they know nothing about. But people have to be suffering, and it has to be in the news. But they are laid bare in their faux sense of morality as they sit on their hands, close their eyes, and shut their mouths when the rockets are falling on Israel, and Israelis are getting blown to smithereens by their favorite "freedom fighters." I have no use for them.

And it looks like I'm not the only one saying this. This was sent to me today...

workingclassartist; welcome to OMV. I remember your comments from the election days. Thanks for being here. I found it highly ironic that Susan put up that post about when we disagree. I laughed...not a lot, but I laughed.

FT; Chomsky can suck my ass.

Soopermouse; who really gave a shit about what happened in Mumbai?

Mirlo, as always, good advice. Thank you.

Shtuey said...

Ron, so that's your blog. Ya know I put it in my blogroll right before I imploded OMV. I was trying a new template here, downloaded the old blog and when I brought it back up I lost all my gadgets. I've had to rebuild the blogroll from scratch and had forgotten to get yours back on. Thanks for the reminder!

You are so right about the MSM. Early on in the latest round of war, I wrote a post essentially saying that the same media outlets who have been kissing Pampers' ass all this time, are the same ones shitting on Israel. The media bias has been there for years. It was only in 2008 that a large number of people really began to understand just how large a problem it really is.

And like the election, Fox News is the only network that isn't beating the IDF are war criminals memes. Unfortunately, they are just as in the dark about a lot of this. They just have a different set of assumptions. The rest of the MSM assumes that Israel is wrong and is simply slaughtering innocent people for no good reason. Fox assumes that Israel is defending itself against the constant violence from a radical Islamic extremist group that want Jews dead, and the rest of the world praying to Allah 5 times a day.

I'm pretty happy with my personal belief system thanks. Hamas can kiss my kosher fucking ass.

"What most of the people on those threads actually know about this situation and its history couldn't fill my bellybutton."

So true...I'm stunned at the utter lack of solid information being thrown about as historical fact...I replied to a really stupid poster with some real history and facts...imagine that?
And my post got gobbled. I don't know if I'm on moderation because the few times I've posted, I haven't joined in the anti-Semitic circle jerk.(p.s. I'm not Jewish but I certainly can recognize an anti-Semitic agenda when I see one.)

Larry's latest inflammatory effort has resulted in him being outed for representing an old video clip from 2005 as coming from the recent UN school bombing.

Remember how during the primaries and elections we called 0bots "low information voters"? This can'
t even apply to the "Joo-haters" at NQ because low information implies some level of intelligence that could enable the processing and integration of coherent inputs. The current crop of Israel despisers at NQ are absent any discernible IQ. I'm going to have to satisfy my N0bama jones elsewhere, probably on right wing blogs.

workingclass artist, I am sorry that you were banned from NQ. You contributed a lot, especially when discussing the art world. But even if you weren't banned, I guess I'd be missing your writing anyway because going forward I'm banning NQ.

Anyone who thinks that the MSM is uninformed or misinformed, is drinking the same tainted water as the fools who voted the fraud in. "They" know...they just choose to go with the popular, ratings boosting attitude which lends itself to good old fashioned jew hating. One of the honcho's at MSNBCrap is in bed financially with the middle east, and yes, he's a jew. As a jew I feel comfortable with the declarative statement of assuredness that jews are our own worst enemies. Jews tend to be liberal, and liberals tend to cry over the forlorn. Since the general populace is comprised of at least 70 percent of Jewish morons ( that's the stat for BO voters), it is an easy segue to the actuality of why the media panders to haters of those provocateurs, the Israeli's. (I say in jest.)
Turn off your televisions. Journalism deserves a proper burial in a memorial befitting the true journalists of yesteryear. We must now conduct research on our own. Cynicism is equatable with intelligence, in my version of the genius test.
Shtuey, what a brilliant post, and what a brilliant mind. I'm proud to be a Jew when I know I'm in your company. I have been having my usual dose of neuroses lately, but it seems to be sprinkled with an extra dollop of fear. Never again? I'm not so sure.

FYI, a certain PUMA has been plastering FaceBook pleading for folks to vote for NQ in the blog wars. I decided to expose the truth and post a disclaimer of my own, exposing the anti-semitism and blatant lies being spread by LJ.
Hope it helps.
For those of you who would like to have an even bigger voice, consider joining FB. The array of influential members is quite large and it's a good place to get yourselves well as your blogs read.

Shtuey said...

Thanks Countess for that. I guess we're going to see where everyone shakes out when the smoke clears eh? I will not be voting for No Quarter. It's not even a PUMA blog. Johnson admits he split with the Republicans because of what happened to Valerie Plame. It's a pattern with this guy. He has an axe to grind with the Republicans so he cheers for Hillary. He has an axe to grind with Israel so he spins for Hamas, all the while claiming he really does like Israel, as long as they are fulfilling what he thinks should be the modus operandi of the Jewish state...whatever.

A mercenary will always sell you out in favor of their own interest.
