It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

Yom Ha-Shoah

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Though there is a privileged, white liberal elite that thinks the Jews talk about the Holocaust too much, and use it to legitimate everything done by the State of Israel (who may have the audacity to use the day to show how enlightened and educated they are about it), I say it is never out of style to remember that, with the world's complicity, six million Jews, and 5 million homosexuals, Roma, dissidents, handicapped...were murdered by the Nazi regime that came to power in the wake of the world's appeasement. And we are going to keep talking about it in the hope that such regimes stop rising, so that morons who claim that Israel is a Nazi state will never be short on evidence that this meme is a lie, and that those who utter it will be known as the leaders of the legions of the ignorant. Let it also be a badge of shame for the world which is guilty of inaction in Darfur, Rwanda, the Balkans, Cambodia, and all places where genocide has been allowed to take place since 1945.

THANK YOU for every word you said ... this is not a game where the most insistent blogger wins ..., and we don't mention it in polite circles .... or god and goddess and every power that is or ever shall be forbid ; use it as a "crutch",in some meaningless discussion , when the generations now walking the earth still feel and live with the effects and results of this horrendous genocide .

Remembering the holocaust is preserving history so that it is never repeated on any scale, so we can advance and call ourselves sentient compassionate beings
