I can’t think of a more emotionally manipulative day to write about the latest news in U.S./Israeli relations than Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), can you? After all, everyone knows that the Holocaust legitimates everything Israel does from being the historically largest source of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian Authority to herding them into cattle cars and gassing them into extinction. Oh wait…that last bit was the Nazis…my bad.
Do you feel manipulated yet?
I suppose that I should take a moment to congratulate the consummate professionals at the Daily Konfluence for invoking me once again, attributing rabid falsehoods and mischaracterizations about myself and my compatriots, and for once again hosting the most historically inaccurate and obtuse conversation on Israel that can be found outside of rense.com. They’ve been making a variety of attempts to engage us in a blog war since there isn’t anything going on more pressing, like the end of our Constitutional Republic as we know it. If y’all would just use a little Boudreaux’s Butt Paste that rash would clear up and you might act less petty and pathetic. Personally I think Riverdaughter may have the cyberhots for me. Why else would she keep mentioning my name? Honey, please contain your pining to the fjords. Your overtures, while flattering, are not appreciated, and are just plain creepy.
About a year ago or so I came out and said that Tushy Obama’s Mideast policy was going to predicated on selling out Israeli security to her enemies in exchange for a Cumbaya love fest with the radical Islamists.
Let’s take a look at the recent timeline of events. First Botox Troll John Kerry traveled to Gaza so Hamas would not think that all its fundraising for the Tushy was in vain. No one really paid much attention as he’s really just a nobody puppet for Pampers now. Then he went to meet with the region's favorite doctor turned rogue nation leader Bashar Assad of Syria, which was followed by his brilliant post-trip talk at the Brookings Institute regarding how the U.S. was going to attempt to peel Syria away from Iran’s sphere of influence by pressuring Israel to return the Golan. Syria would get lots of carrots from the U.S., but only in exchange for consenting to negotiate with Israel over the Golan (which no Israeli government with any sense would ever give up). He then admitted that even if the U.S. was able to successfully hoodwink Israel into committing national suicide by giving up its source of fresh water, and allowing every city in northern and central Israel (read: virtually the entire country) to be in range of Syrian guns and rockets, Syria would probably still ally themselves with Iran. Caroline Glick's assessment goes like this:
If in the past, both American and Israeli policy-makers interested in engaging Damascus have made ending Syria's alliance with Iran a central goal of their proposed engagement, Kerry dismissed such an aim as unrealistic. In his words, "We should have no illusions that Syria will immediately end its ties with Iran."
All the more reason to continue to try and execute that plan, right Johnny? Awesome. We get nothing. Syria stays with Iran. Syria has not been above board regarding its nuclear program, but gets concessions from us, and Israel is expected to give up the Golan. Who let the chimp escape from his pen without his meds?
Then we have Gabi Ashkenazi’s visit to the United States during which no high ranking foreign policy official would meet with him unless he was willing to talk about establishing a Palestinian state. Sorry guys, the future of the Palestinian people, though important, does not present the kind of existential threat to Israel that Iran does. The doors were closed. Gabi went home early. Message to Israel: establishing a Palestinian state run by political parties sworn to destroy you is more important than the safety of your citizens, and the continuing survival of your country (not to mention the survival of Arab nations), whether Pampers had a seder in the White House or not (vomit).
We are now moving into a Factor Ten ignorance zone. Please make sure your environment suits are sealed securely and that your air is flowing properly. Remember to breathe normally, and keep your Davis Safety Lamp handy.
The United States, in its typical ignorance of the functionings of the Middle East, seems to think that it can blackmail Israel by sending the message that there will be no help on the Iran nukes front until Israel consents to a Palestinian state with a divided Jerusalem. [the folks at the Konfluence don’t seem to realize that utilizing this kind of blackmail to dictate the policy of a sovereign nation is the same neocon tactics used by George W. Shrub, but they don’t care as long as they get the results they want; a Palestinian State led by its current terror kleptocracy which means a fucked Israel. So let us now refer to the Daily Konfluence as a neokon blog as no self- respecting liberal would ever endorse neocon strategy…unless they were a bunch of fucking hypocrites. Well, you know what they say, if the shoe fits jam it.]
What Tushy Obama, and his anti-Israel cabal don’t understand is that Israel does not need the United States’ approval to bomb the mother loving crap out of Iran. Israel does not need access to Iraqi airspace to bomb the mother loving crap out of Iran. What the United States fails to understand is that some of the wealthiest and most powerful countries in the world have a vested interest in Iran never getting nukes and, as they did in the wake of the Osirak bombing, will be more than happy to grant Israel all the political cover it needs, where she needs it: behind closed doors. These countries are not happy that Tushy Obama is dragging his feet allowing Iran to get the bomb, a problem all the more urgent now that the UN has revealed that Iran has enough enriched uranium to build a bomb, nor are they going to buy his potential cover story that it is Israel’s recalcitrance that is preventing his administration from acting substantively (which would have to be the narrative he tries to sell them as the Arabs are never going to sing Cumbaya with the Persians, no matter how many Cokes Tushy Obama buys them). So why is Rahm Emmanuel flapping his chicken wings, making pronouncements that Israel will accept a Palestinian State before the end of Tushy Obama’s first term?
"In the next four years there is going to be a permanent status arrangement between Israel and the Palestinians on the basis of two states for two peoples, and it doesn't matter to us at all who is prime minister."
Here are two possible scenarios.
- He knows that Israel won’t submit to that, and he doesn’t want his President looking like the ass in the punch bowl when it doesn’t happen. He’d rather have Israel look like the ass in the punch bowl. Rahm may be an idiot, but he’s not stupid. He knows Israel is never going to concede to the pre-67 borders. He knows that Israel is not going to give up East Jerusalem in totum. He knows that Israel is not going to allow a state to be formed on its borders that is run by a terror kleptocracy. He knows that Israel is not going to be blackmailed into a two state solution. He knows Israel doesn’t need the U.S.’s $3 billion. He also knows that his boss doesn’t give a shite about any of those things. He just wants the Arabs and Islamists to love him; hence his bow of subservience in front of the Saudi king.
- Rahm is on board with his master's plan to curry Islamist favor by setting up Israel to be rocketed out of existence.
So what is going to happen when Prime Minister Netanyahu comes to America? Well, he's not. Tushy Obama decided to conveniently be out of town, so Netanyahu has decided not to waste his time. It was my hope that he would address AIPAC (you remember AIPAC right? They dictate America's foreign policy which is why the Department of State perennially sells out Israel's security interests to OPEC: Hillary's DoS so far appears to be no exception) and say Israel will no longer be accepting U.S. Government financial assistance as it is clear the two nations have diverging strategic interests. Tushy and the neokons sure won't see that coming. Nope, they see Israel as a leech sucking America’s ass for that $3 billion which, in reality, represents about 1-2% of Israel’s GNP, and comes with a number of strings that have held the Israeli military, intelligence gathering, and economy back for quite a long time. The time to finally tell the U.S. to keep the change has arrived. At her height Israel was a free agent with no allies. She is now in a position to create alliances with far greater strategic and economic benefit than the United States has ever provided. And the message to the United States will be, “You want a Palestinian state so bad you're willing to sit on your hands while Iran gets the bomb? Then move to clear out Hamas and Fatah as that state will continue to be a fantasy until that happens.
In the meantime, the Israelis will move forward to create an economic peace with the Palestinians that will hopefully make peace more profitable than terrorism; if Israel does it right, which I am not entirely convinced will happen. But at least the spineless weasels of Kadima are not in power as that would mean that for sure nothing would happen at all.
The Resident is in over his head. Iran has the enriched uranium to make a bomb. This puts the Saudis in a position where they will want nukes and the entire region becomes that much more unstable. If the red line is reached with Iran's nuclear capability the entire middle east will be privately cheering Israel if she makes the move.
Don't you wish we had a President right now?
- Mention the Holocaust as many times as possible.
- Present as much historically inaccurate information as possible.
- Tell lots of lies about people you really don't know anything about.
- Please please please don't forget to be egomanical, self-absorbed, and condescending.
- If you are able to do all four at the same time you get a goody bag.
