It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

And Now For Something Completely Different...An Ax Murderer

Just when you thought Palestinian terrorists had run out of ideas, they surprise you. Today it was a hit and run axing. Two Israeli boys, Shlomo Nativ, 13, and 7 year old Yair Gamliel, were attacked by an ax wielding psycho in the West Bank settlement of Bat Ayin. Nativ was murdered. Gamliel is being treated in Hadassah Hospital. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack, as did a new group on the scene the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh. With any luck, members of the two gangs of idiots will start throwing each other off the roofs of buildings as they compete to be the group of psychopaths that gets sole credit for the ax job.

I have to admit, the ax does reduce the risk of blowing oneself up on the way to the settlement. But conversely, it increases the risk of the attacker getting tetanus, or cutting off their own hand, or both.

In a little twist to the story, Gamliel is the son of convicted Jewish terrorist Ofer Gamliel, who is currently serving a 15 year sentence, along with his accomplices, for planting a bomb set to blow up an Arab girls school (it was planted between a hospital and the school). The bomb was discovered by Israeli police. It was dismantled safely, and traced by Shin Bet to a radical Jewish terror cell that probably supports the "Greater Israel" concept that Jewish land should stretch from the Mediterranean to the Euphrates River. Guys, we're having enough trouble between the Med and the Jordan River. Give it a rest.

I know there will be those on the Left of reality that will no doubt be shocked that
  1. The police actually disarmed the bomb rather than letting it kill the Arab girls.
  2. The Israeli government actually tried and convicted Jews for attempting to murder Arabs.
  3. The Israeli government did not order the bombing, and did not select the target.
More shocking behavior from those "Nazi/Apartheid" jack booted thugs in the Israeli government. Now I see why so many Leftists think Israel is committing genocide against the Arabs. They are actually saving their lives; those cold-hearted Nazi bastards. Just another reason for little lefties to not like Israel (they should probably stop using their computers too, as the Intel chips inside them were developed by Israelis, as is much of their software).

Here's hoping Yair recovers, but does not become a killer himself. Let's also hope that the search for the ax wielding maniac does not start a chain reaction of more attacks, and reprisals.
Speaking of which, in more Leftist shocking behavior, the IDF is currently preparing for the possibility of acts of vengeance by Jewish settlers on Arab communities. Deploying one's soldiers to protect the Arabs...that must be another facet of the final solution I keep hearing about from the so-called Leftist intelligentsia.

While we're on the subject. Why is it that the Jewish state allows Arabs to live there as full citizens of Israel, while Arab proponents of a Palestinian state in the West Bank say that Jews will not be permitted to live there? Who are the supporters of apartheid again?

And one more little question. I thought the Palestinian Authority was supposed to have dismantled the terror organizations like Islamic Jihad in order to fulfill its obligations to agreements with Israel. Why is it that the United States only seems to put pressure on Israel regarding living up to its obligations, and not on the Palestinian Authority? Maybe its because the all powerful Israel Lobby runs the country. That must be it.

I heard about the ax attack, and was saddened, but I immediately had the thought you did. Maybe they are finding it harder to get hold of fissile material. That would be an improvement.
