All of this stems from a debate that Likud MK Tzipi Hotovely hosted with the object of finding alternatives to the two-state final solution for the death of Israel. Arye Eldad presented the idea that Arabs in Judea and Samaria be granted Jordanian citizenship and that there could be two states for two peoples one on each side of the Jordan.
Fearing that this policy was going to be formally adopted, the illegitimate hashemite regime, currently headed by the playboy who would be king; abdullah II, is taking steps to try and thwart this plan. Non-hashemite Arabs are being stripped of their Jordanian citizenship (so far this has effected about 40,000 people). Other signs of nervousness are his seemingly obsessive meeting with the military, as if he's attempting to gauge whether he would have their backing should the majority non-hashemite population rise up against him.
Whether the current government of Israel backs the plan or not, it is the best plan out there. Israel cannot allow an Arab state to be created west of the Jordan. It simply cannot happen. After the destruction and evacuation of Gush Katif land for peace gestures are futile. And Judea and Samaria are not Gush Katif. There are at least a quarter of a million Jews living in those territories. The Israeli government hasn't even managed to integrate the few thousand residents from Gush Katif. What exactly would they do with 250-300,000? If evacuation was the plan I would imagine there would be an armed uprising amongst the Jews there. Israel has been the victim of spineless, mealy mouthed politicians who seem to be ashamed of a strong, nationally assertive Israel. Had Shimon Peres or Ehud Barak been Prime Minister in 1967 there would be no Israel today.
There is a new reality on the ground. The segments of the Israeli public that have been living in denial have clear signals that the Arab policy toward them is genocide. They support the settlements now. Some 7000 Israelis moved to Judea and Samaria this past year. Fatah and Hamas are not partners for peace and Israelis know it now. They want no part of a false peace with bloodthirsty killers. They know that the racist Jew hater in the White House is not going to protect them or guarantee their security (the reality of which is apparent in his poor poll numbers in Israel).
What's even more interesting, and telling, are reports from Makor Rishon that IDF reserve units are refusing to evacuate the residents of Shvut Ami, an outpost near Kedumim. The soldiers told their commanders to leave them alone and they did. When they were ordered to go there on the Sabbath and count the residents, they refused...all of them...even the leftists and secular soldiers. They all agreed they would not take any actions against Jews. If this resistance continues it won't matter what the politicians say. After Gush Katif and the resulting Hamastan in Gaza, how could Jew turn against Jew? It's one thing for fat cat Jerusalem politicians to do it. It's another for the men and women of Zahal, who would have to then go into combat against the terrorists in the inevitable war that would follow the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of Jews, to execute an evacuation order.
What is standing in the way of Israel being a free nation, have secure borders, and being rid of terrorist killers on their soil? An illegitimate, British made monarchy in Jordan that doesn't represent even half of the people living there, with whom Israel has a pretty cold peace, and a world community addicted to hating Jews, who can't seem to understand why we won't just commit suicide for them.
From a purely Machiavellian perspective, getting rid of the hashemites in favor of an Arab national home, part of the reason why Jordan was carved off what was supposed to be part of the Jewish state in the first place, makes a whole lotta sense. It's not only a good solution, it's the only solution.
What are we really dealing with here? Two nationalities, Jordanian and Palestinian, that are inventions of the 20th century; like Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, and a whole host of other Arab countries. Considering the paranoia of the king, and his clearly racist policy toward the non-hashemites vis-a-vis their citizenship, it probably wouldn't take much for a coup to be initiated, in the wake of which Israel could create two provinces, Judea and Samaria, which would become federated states with Israel. Arrest and deport the terrorists of Fatah and Hamas, and let the Arabs decide where they want to live; in the provinces of a Jewish state, or in the national home for the nationality that never existed before 1964. The "refugees" would have the option of staying in their respective countries, or moving to Palestine (Jordan).
Some might consider this racist, but it is not the Jews who have made coexistence impossible. It wasn't the Jews who invaded Arab countries and tried to destroy them. It wasn't Jews who repeatedly called for the genocide of their Arab neighbors. If Israel had an interest in conquering them she would have done so when the IDF was within miles of Damascus and Cairo. Israel could have conquered Syria, Egypt and Jordan entirely, but accepted ceasefires instead. This mistaken altruism is the root cause, apart from Arab/Islamic racism against Jews, of the problems we are facing today. Israel should have conquered those capitals and dictated terms, rather than continuing to allow itself to be the Arab League's punching bag. And Israel should never have given back the Sinai, or evacuated Gaza.
Jordan is Palestine. Israel is Israel. Judea is Judea. Shomron is Shomron. All it takes is the will from Jerusalem. Who really cares what the terrorists want anymore? They want every Jew dead so who gives a crap what they want or think? As I've said before, non genocidal Arabs who want to live in Israel and her provinces are more than welcome. The rest of them need to go home. Hell, abdullah and his family could even maintain a nominal monarchy if they want. Then he can keep wearing all those medals awarded for what I have no idea.
Two states. Two peoples. A river between them.
