It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

JPost Reports All Soldiers Accounted For

There were conflicting reports that an IDF soldier was kidnapped by a previously unknown terror group, "Al-Quds Army." Rather than rehash what has appeared on a number of blogs and news sites, I will just state that the IDF has completed its roll call and ALL soldiers are accounted for. There is strong military censorship, but to hide a kidnapping would not be swift considering there are thousands of frightened and worried families who will not tolerate being lied to about something like this.

So what happened? The news was being reported in an Arab Maan news agency reported:
"A group of our resistance fighters captured an Israeli soldier near Ben-Gurion Airport and withdrew with the soldier without incident... We will provide details about the captured soldier later."
A female IDF soldier said she saw what appeared to be a soldier being pushed into a car and driven away. This too could have been staged. The Arabs have often gotten uniforms, even fake ones. Perhaps they made it look like a kidnapping.

So, if this was not a kidnapping, perhaps the resulting chaos was the idea. Traffic was jammed. Everyone was on alert. Everyone was on edge. Perhaps they want to create a boy who cried wolf atmosphere, or want to initiate a process where checkpoints and roadblocks go back up so the terrorists can say how Israel is oppressing them, or just simply mess with everyone's heads.

But all that matters right now is that it appears that everyone is safe, baruch HaShem. Let's hope it stays that way.
