One State, One People?

The Knesset Kvetching seems to be dying down. Bibi's ministers have fallen in line behind the leader of their coalition. Three Likud MKs, including Tzipi Hotovely, stood against him in the Likud Faction meeting, Hotovely expressing her disappointment that Bibi didn't set out more reservations around the creation of a Palestinian entity. MK Hotovely, you will have your day. If you haven't realized it by now Minister Hotovely, your party leader has laid down all the reservations he needed to illicit what I feel must be the final Arab rejection of UN Resolution 181 to be allowed.

UN Resolution 181 called for the partition of British Mandate Palestine [remember to keep in mind that there has never been an independent country called Palestine, nor was the creation of one called for when Judea and Samaria (West Bank) were in Jordanian hands.] into a Jewish state and an Arab state as worded in Part I, Section A, Article 3:

Independent Arab and Jewish States and the Special International Regime for the City of Jerusalem, set forth in Part III of this Plan, shall come into existence in Palestine two months after the evacuation of the armed forces of the mandatory Power has been completed but in any case not later than 1 October 1948.

It is an irrefutable fact that the Arabs rejected this partition and, upon Israel declaring independence from Britain as the Jewish state created by Resolution 181, invaded with the intention of destroying her and claiming all of what had been British Mandate Palestine as an Arab state. They failed.

Following the ceasefire between the Arabs and Israel in 1949 no moves were made to create an Arab state in the land that Jordan occupied. More military attempts to destroy Israel were made. Partition was not accepted. It was only after the Israeli ejection of the Jordanian army in 1967 that suddenly Palestinian nationalism mattered, as nothing more than a means to destory Israel where the Arab armies had failed.

The Partition Plan was rejected again in 2000 by Yasser Arafat, and again this past year by Mahmoud Abbas. And it was rejected again this week, not only by Abbas, but by all Arab leaders, including Hosni Mubarak, whose country has a treaty with Israel. He, Abbas, and the rest refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Read Resolution 181 gentlemen. It's quite explicit. A Jewish state was to be created, and it has been created. What hasn't happened is you accepting it, and taking the land you were offered to create a state next to it. You have rejected it again, and for what I feel must be the last time. Prime Minister Netanyahu has done the only logical thing under the circumstances: if you want Palestine, you must accept the Jewish Israel. If you reject that, you reject Palestine. You forfeit a state west of the Jordan. The time has now come to take this situation to its logical conclusion.

For 61 years the Arabs have refused to accept Israel, and either by military, terroristic, or economic means have sought to destroy her. Now, when one of Israel's most vociferous opponents to creating an Arab entity on historically Jewish land extends his hand, you played your part and demonstrated that there is absolutely no way that an Arab state can ever be allowed to exist in west of the Jordan River for if it is, under current circumstances, it will mean a continuation of the endless war until so many are dead, that so much Arab and Jewish blood will flow that even the land will cry out.

I have always held hope that peace could happen. I was raised to believe in the word of our prophets; that swords and spears would become plowshares and pruning hooks. Despite your unceasing enmity, I still believed. It would start by establishing economic symbiosis, which would lead to trust, and the alienation of the Palestinian Mafia Terror Kleptocrats who would eventually be pushed out. It would lead to Arab schools no longer teaching death to Israel which would lead to greater tolerance and understanding, and a rejection of violence. Then the walls and wire would come down, and a federation would take hold. The Arabs have ended that hope for me this week. A fool's hope, but hope none the less. Perhaps the prophets spoke of a different vision. Perhaps the peace can be made by Nehar HaYarden.

I can only see two alternatives. The Arabs are driven out by a war of their own making, a war that Abbas declared would happen as a result of Bibi's "outrageous" demand that the Arabs finally accept Israel as the Jewish state, as mandated in UN Resolution 181, or they leave on their own to the already existing Palestinian state called Jordan. I would say there is a third alternative; that the world community would finally stand up and demand that the Arabs accept the Jewish state and renounce violence. Perhaps Bibi's strategy will help stir the hearts of the world. I'm not counting on it. The world has hated us too long.

Enough blood has been shed, and clearly Mr. Abbas you do not believe in coexistence. Do Arab families in Judea and Samaria a favor; surrender your snuff film blood fantasy of destroying Israel and go across the river. It is enough. And if you hold out hope for Iran's nuclear weapons to finish the job that you cannot, remember your people will die there as well. It is madness. You are mad. Your life has been dedicated to hate. It is time to love your children more than you want to kill us. Go, and let Nehar HaYarden make the peace.

I was raised with the believe in teshuva: a turning, a returning to a good path. I was raised to believe that the door to this return must always be left open, for even the most wicked might one day awaken. And so I leave that door open in my heart for the teshuva, for the undoing of the wrong. But in this time, when once again our enemies close in around us, when they conspire to finish us, I must say one state, one people. Your continued blood lust gives me no other choice.

Shut Up, Jimmy!

Still glowing from making love to Hamas, Jimmy the Dhimmi Carter, thwarter of swamp bunnies, and notorious lobotomy victim, continues to think that we give a crap about the vapid thoughts coming out of his bigoted, delusional mind.

His latest bout with lunacy came yesterday while addressing the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Seems that the Dhimmi feels that Bibi has thrown up obstacles to peace.

"In my opinion, Netanyahu brought up several obstacles to peace in his speech that others before him have not placed. He insists on settlement expansion and demands that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state, even though 20% of Israel's citizens are not Jewish."

Okay Pinball Wizard, since you can't hear, and what comes out of your mouth is mostly a whole lotta stupid, let me give you a reality check. Bibi did not insist on settlement expansion. He made very clear that new construction in existing settlements will not be used to extend the settlement areas. If you're not expanding, there's no expansion. And of course Bibi is going to demand the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state you ninny. That's what the UN resolution that partitioned the land was meant to create: an Arab state, and a JEWISH state you obtuse genocidal douche. Is it that you can't read, or do you just hate us that much?

Frankly it's painful watching you pathetically continue to attempt to make yourself relevant on the world stage. Iran took your beitzim 30 years ago. You're not getting them back. Give it up. What you lack in that regard you seem to make up in chutzpah. Congratulations. Now kindly shut up the fuck up.

The Silence of the 'Jams

Rioting is continuing on Iran's streets, and Marack Pajama remains silent. Now Iranians are being gunned down in the streets for demanding their voices be heard, that their elections be fair, that the democratic will of this repressed people be heard. While the Iranians are finally rising up against their Jihadi Islamic Masters, Marack Pajama does nothing. He is a pathetic appeaser, wholly and totally unworthy of our national respect. He disgraces us by his silence. He mocks all that our nation stands for by standing idly by while Iranians die for electoral freedom.

Granted, considering the rampant fraud committed by Soup, he's really in no position to say boo about that subject. But he could say something. He should say something.

I remember feeling the same way back in 1989 when Shrub I sat tight lipped during the protests in Tiananmen Square. With each passing day I prayed that he would make some kind of statement, something to let the Chinese know we were watching, and urge a nonviolent solution. He suspended weapons sales and visits. The protests only lasted seven weeks...oooh, suspended weapons sales and visits...and after the blood was washed from the streets, everything went back to normal.

Communist regimes were disintegrating around the world. With even slight American support, who knows what might have happened in China? But Shrub I did nothing, and to this day I consider that blood to be on his hands, as well as on the hands of the government of the PROC.

In the face of what could be the beginning of the end of the mullah's regime of Islamic bullshit in Iran, Marack is too weak, too scared, too devoted to prostrating himself before Islam, to open his mouth in the way the leader of the free world should. Instead, we get more meaningless blather. Just words?!?! Yes, it's always just words.

The Marack Pajama response to Bibi's speech is exactly what I figured it would be: nothing.

Robert "Ask Me No More Questions, I'll Tell You No More Lies" Gibbs gave the following statement:

"The President welcomes the important step forward in Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech.

"The President is committed to two states, a Jewish state of Israel and an independent Palestine, in the historic homeland of both peoples. He believes this solution can and must ensure both Israel's security and the fulfillment of the Palestinians' legitimate aspirations for a viable state, and he welcomes Prime Minister Netanyahu's endorsement of that goal.

"The President will continue working with all parties - Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Arab states, and our Quartet partners - to see that they fulfill their obligations and responsibilities necessary to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a comprehensive regional peace."

He just keeps chugging along...the little engine that can't.

There is one notable difference, and it is an important one, even if it is lip service. For the first time, that I have seen, the Pajama Game has referred to Israel as a Jewish state. How very noble.

Abbas Says New Intifada On The Way (UPDATE)

UPDATE: MK Ahmed Tibi (United Arab List) made the following statement in response to Netanyahu's speech:

"The PLO does not have to and will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state."

Thank you Mr. Tibi for admitting why there will never be a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria.

Perhaps Secretary Clinton and George Mitchell can give us all an explanation as to why Israel must concede a state to the PLO, in any form, under such circumstances.

As I expected, the PA reaction to Bibi's speech is outrage. They are outraged that Israel would demand recognition as a Jewish state, and that Israel demands the PA be demilitarized. Abbas said Bibi has buried the peace process because of this and that because of this there will be renewed violence and bloodshed.

Thank you Mahmoud for being such a Pavlovian dog. You have demonstrated before the world exactly why you cannot have a state. You act as if an intifada will happen and it will be Israel's fault. No sir, it will be yours. We know who controls the street. We know who sends the suicide bombers. We know you could control the violence if you chose to. You could stay the hand. But since you will never recognize the Jewish state, and will not admit that it is you that has perpetrated the violence without end and thus are responsible for it, the only thing you can do is what you have dedicated your life to doing: try once again to execute your genocidal plans for the Jews of Israel.

Way to go Mahmoud. Arafat rejected Barak. You rejected Olmert. Now you call for another intifada. Bibi could have said no Palestinian state ever, but he didn't have to. You did it for him.

And thank you for shining the spotlight back on Marack. Now world Jewry will have the means to wake up from the kool-aid. Either he accepts the morality of the situation, or he does not. He either supports the contention that Israel is the permanent Jewish homeland with a right to live free from violence, or he does not.

Honored guests, citizens of Israel.

Peace has always been our people's most ardent desire. Our prophets gave the world the vision of peace, we greet one another with wishes of peace, and our prayers conclude with the word peace.

We are gathered this evening in an institution named for two pioneers of peace, Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat, and we share in their vision.

Two and half months ago, I took the oath of office as the Prime Minister of Israel. I pledged to establish a national unity government - and I did. I believed and I still believe that unity was essential for us now more than ever as we face three immense challenges - the Iranian threat, the economic crisis, and the advancement of peace.

The Iranian threat looms large before us, as was further demonstrated yesterday. The greatest danger confronting Israel, the Middle East, the entire world and human race, is the nexus between radical Islam and nuclear weapons. I discussed this issue with President Obama during my recent visit to Washington, and I will raise it again in my meetings next week with European leaders. For years, I have been working tirelessly to forge an international alliance to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Confronting a global economic crisis, the government acted swiftly to stabilize Israel's economy. We passed a two year budget in the government - and the Knesset will soon approve it.

And the third challenge, so exceedingly important, is the advancement of peace. I also spoke about this with President Obama, and I fully support the idea of a regional peace that he is leading.

I share the President's desire to bring about a new era of reconciliation in our region. To this end, I met with President Mubarak in Egypt, and King Abdullah in Jordan, to elicit the support of these leaders in expanding the circle of peace in our region.

I turn to all Arab leaders tonight and I say: "Let us meet. Let us speak of peace and let us make peace. I am ready to meet with you at any time. I am willing to go to Damascus, to Riyadh, to Beirut, to any place- including Jerusalem.

I call on the Arab countries to cooperate with the Palestinians and with us to advance an economic peace. An economic peace is not a substitute for a political peace, but an important element to achieving it. Together, we can undertake projects to overcome the scarcities of our region, like water desalination or to maximize its advantages, like developing solar energy, or laying gas and petroleum lines, and transportation links between Asia, Africa and Europe.

The economic success of the Gulf States has impressed us all and it has impressed me. I call on the talented entrepreneurs of the Arab world to come and invest here and to assist the Palestinians - and us - in spurring the economy.

Together, we can develop industrial areas that will generate thousands of jobs and create tourist sites that will attract millions of visitors eager to walk in the footsteps of history - in Nazareth and in Bethlehem, around the walls of Jericho and the walls of Jerusalem, on the banks of the Sea of Galilee and the baptismal site of the Jordan.

There is an enormous potential for archaeological tourism, if we can only learn to cooperate and to develop it.

I turn to you, our Palestinian neighbors, led by the Palestinian Authority, and I say: Let's begin

negotiations immediately without preconditions.

Israel is obligated by its international commitments and expects all parties to keep their commitments.

We want to live with you in peace, as good neighbors. We want our children and your children to never again experience war: that parents, brothers and sisters will never again know the agony of losing loved ones in battle; that our children will be able to dream of a better future and realize that dream; and that together we will invest our energies in plowshares and pruning hooks, not swords and spears.

I know the face of war. I have experienced battle. I lost close friends, I lost a brother. I have seen the pain of bereaved families. I do not want war. No one in Israel wants war.

If we join hands and work together for peace, there is no limit to the development and prosperity we can achieve for our two peoples - in the economy, agriculture, trade, tourism and education - most importantly, in providing our youth a better world in which to live, a life full of tranquility, creativity, opportunity and hope.

If the advantages of peace are so evident, we must ask ourselves why peace remains so remote, even as our hand remains outstretched to peace? Why has this conflict continued for more than sixty years?

In order to bring an end to the conflict, we must give an honest and forthright answer to the question: What is the root of the conflict?

In his speech to the first Zionist Conference in Basel, the founder of the Zionist movement, Theodore Herzl, said about the Jewish national home "This idea is so big that we must speak of it only in the simplest terms." Today, I will speak about the immense challenge of peace in the simplest words possible.

Even as we look toward the horizon, we must be firmly connected to reality, to the truth. And the simple truth is that the root of the conflict was, and remains, the refusal to recognize the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own, in their historic homeland.

In 1947, when the United Nations proposed the partition plan of a Jewish state and an Arab state, the entire Arab world rejected the resolution. The Jewish community, by contrast, welcomed it by dancing and rejoicing.

The Arabs rejected any Jewish state, in any borders.

Those who think that the continued enmity toward Israel is a product of our presence in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, is confusing cause and consequence.

The attacks against us began in the 1920s, escalated into a comprehensive attack in 1948 with the declaration of Israel's independence, continued with the fedayeen attacks in the 1950s, and climaxed in 1967, on the eve of the six-day war, in an attempt to tighten a noose around the neck of the State of Israel.

All this occurred during the fifty years before a single Israeli soldier ever set foot in Judea and Samaria .

Fortunately, Egypt and Jordan left this circle of enmity. The signing of peace treaties have brought about an end to their claims against Israel, an end to the conflict. But to our regret, this is not the case with the Palestinians. The closer we get to an agreement with them, the further they retreat and raise demands that are inconsistent with a true desire to end the conflict.

Many good people have told us that withdrawal from territories is the key to peace with the Palestinians. Well, we withdrew. But the fact is that every withdrawal was met with massive waves of terror, by suicide bombers and thousands of missiles.

We tried to withdraw with an agreement and without an agreement. We tried a partial withdrawal and a full withdrawal. In 2000 and again last year, Israel proposed an almost total withdrawal in exchange for an end to the conflict, and twice our offers were rejected.

We evacuated every last inch of the Gaza strip, we uprooted tens of settlements and evicted thousands of Israelis from their homes, and in response, we received a hail of missiles on our cities, towns and children.

The claim that territorial withdrawals will bring peace with the Palestinians, or at least advance peace, has up till now not stood the test of reality.

In addition to this, Hamas in the south, like Hezbollah in the north, repeatedly proclaims their commitment to "liberate" the Israeli cities of Ashkelon, Beersheba, Acre and Haifa.

Territorial withdrawals have not lessened the hatred, and to our regret, Palestinian moderates are not yet ready to say the simple words: Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people, and it will stay that way.

Achieving peace will require courage and candor from both sides, and not only from the Israeli side.

The Palestinian leadership must arise and say: "Enough of this conflict. We recognize the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own in this land, and we are prepared to live beside you in true peace."

I am yearning for that moment, for when Palestinian leaders say those words to our people and to their people, then a path will be opened to resolving all the problems between our peoples, no matter how complex they may be.

Therefore, a fundamental prerequisite for ending the conflict is a public, binding and unequivocal Palestinian recognition of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people.

To vest this declaration with practical meaning, there must also be a clear understanding that the Palestinian refugee problem will be resolved outside Israel's borders. For it is clear that any demand for resettling Palestinian refugees within Israel undermines Israel's continued existence as the state of the Jewish people.

The Palestinian refugee problem must be solved, and it can be solved, as we ourselves proved in a similar situation. Tiny Israel successfully absorbed tens of thousands of Jewish refugees who left their homes and belongings in Arab countries.

Therefore, justice and logic demand that the Palestinian refugee problem be solved outside Israel's borders. On this point, there is a broad national consensus. I believe that with goodwill and international investment, this humanitarian problem can be permanently resolved.

So far I have spoken about the need for Palestinians to recognize our rights. In am moment, I will speak openly about our need to recognize their rights.

But let me first say that the connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel has lasted for more than 3500 years. Judea and Samaria, the places where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, David and Solomon, and Isaiah and Jeremiah lived, are not alien to us. This is the land of our forefathers.

The right of the Jewish people to a state in the land of Israel does not derive from the catastrophes that have plagued our people. True, for 2000 years the Jewish people suffered expulsions, pogroms, blood libels, and massacres which culminated in a Holocaust - a suffering which has no parallel in human history.

There are those who say that if the Holocaust had not occurred, the state of Israel would never have been established. But I say that if the state of Israel would have been established earlier, the Holocaust would not have occurred.

This tragic history of powerlessness explains why the Jewish people need a sovereign power of self-defense.

But our right to build our sovereign state here, in the land of Israel, arises from one simple fact: this is the homeland of the Jewish people, this is where our identity was forged.

As Israel's first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion proclaimed in Israel's Declaration of Independence: "The Jewish people arose in the land of Israel and it was here that its spiritual, religious and political character was shaped. Here they attained their sovereignty, and here they bequeathed to the world their national and cultural treasures, and the most eternal of books."

But we must also tell the truth in its entirety: within this homeland lives a large Palestinian community. We do not want to rule over them, we do not want to govern their lives, we do not want to impose either our flag or our culture on them.

In my vision of peace, in this small land of ours, two peoples live freely, side-by-side, in amity and mutual respect. Each will have its own flag, its own national anthem, its own government. Neither will threaten the security or survival of the other.

These two realities - our connection to the land of Israel, and the Palestinian population living within it - have created deep divisions in Israeli society. But the truth is that we have much more that unites us than divides us.

I have come tonight to give expression to that unity, and to the principles of peace and security on which there is broad agreement within Israeli society. These are the principles that guide our policy.

This policy must take into account the international situation that has recently developed. We must recognize this reality and at the same time stand firmly on those principles essential for Israel.

I have already stressed the first principle - recognition. Palestinians must clearly and unambiguously recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people. The second principle is: demilitarization. The territory under Palestinian control must be demilitarized with ironclad security provisions for Israel.

Without these two conditions, there is a real danger that an armed Palestinian state would emerge that would become another terrorist base against the Jewish state, such as the one in Gaza.

We don't want Kassam rockets on Petach Tikva, Grad rockets on Tel Aviv, or missiles on Ben-Gurion airport. We want peace.

In order to achieve peace, we must ensure that Palestinians will not be able to import missiles into their territory, to field an army, to close their airspace to us, or to make pacts with the likes of Hezbollah and Iran. On this point as well, there is wide consensus within Israel.

It is impossible to expect us to agree in advance to the principle of a Palestinian state without assurances that this state will be demilitarized.

On a matter so critical to the existence of Israel, we must first have our security needs addressed.

Therefore, today we ask our friends in the international community, led by the United States, for what is critical to the security of Israel: Clear commitments that in a future peace agreement, the territory controlled by the Palestinians will be demilitarized: namely, without an army, without control of its airspace, and with effective security measures to prevent weapons smuggling into the territory - real monitoring, and not what occurs in Gaza today. And obviously, the Palestinians will not be able to forge military pacts.

Without this, sooner or later, these territories will become another Hamastan. And that we cannot accept.

I told President Obama when I was in Washington that if we could agree on the substance, then the terminology would not pose a problem.

And here is the substance that I now state clearly:

If we receive this guarantee regarding demilitarization and Israel's security needs, and if the Palestinians recognize Israel as the State of the Jewish people, then we will be ready in a future peace agreement to reach a solution where a demilitarized Palestinian state exists alongside the Jewish state.

Regarding the remaining important issues that will be discussed as part of the final settlement, my positions are known: Israel needs defensible borders, and Jerusalem must remain the united capital of Israel with continued religious freedom for all faiths.

The territorial question will be discussed as part of the final peace agreement. In the meantime, we have no intention of building new settlements or of expropriating additional land for existing settlements.

But there is a need to enable the residents to live normal lives, to allow mothers and fathers to raise their children like families elsewhere. The settlers are neither the enemies of the people nor the enemies of peace. Rather, they are an integral part of our people, a principled, pioneering and Zionist public.

Unity among us is essential and will help us achieve reconciliation with our neighbors. That reconciliation must already begin by altering existing realities. I believe that a strong Palestinian economy will strengthen peace.


If the Palestinians turn toward peace – in fighting terror, in strengthening governance and the rule of law, in educating their children for peace and in stopping incitement against Israel - we will do our part in making every effort to facilitate freedom of movement and access, and to enable them to develop their economy. All of this will help us advance a peace treaty between us.

Above all else, the Palestinians must decide between the path of peace and the path of Hamas. The Palestinian Authority will have to establish the rule of law in Gaza and overcome Hamas. Israel will not sit at the negotiating table with terrorists who seek their destruction.
Hamas will not even allow the Red Cross to visit our kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, who has spent three years in captivity, cut off from his parents, his family and his people. We are committed to bringing him home, healthy and safe.

With a Palestinian leadership committed to peace, with the active participation of the Arab world, and the support of the United States and the international community, there is no reason why we cannot achieve a breakthrough to peace.

Our people have already proven that we can do the impossible. Over the past 61 years, while constantly defending our existence, we have performed wonders.
Our microchips are powering the world’s computers. Our medicines are treating diseases once considered incurable. Our drip irrigation is bringing arid lands back to life across the globe. And Israeli scientists are expanding the boundaries of human knowledge.
If only our neighbors would respond to our call – peace too will be in our reach.

I call on the leaders of the Arab world and on the Palestinian leadership, let us continue together on the path of Menahem Begin and Anwar Sadat, Yitzhak Rabin and King Hussein. Let us realize the vision of the prophet Isaiah, who in Jerusalem 2700 years ago said: “nations shall not lift up sword against nation, and they shall learn war no more.”

With God’s help, we will know no more war. We will know peace.

Bibi has done it. He has called for the unequivocal Palestinian declaration of Israel's right to exist as the permanent Jewish homeland.

"A public Palestinian recognition of Israel as a Jewish nation-state is a precondition for regional peace."

Without this, peace is not possible, but that all doors are open if these "few simple words" are uttered by the PA leaders to Israel, and Palestinians. He has rejected that concept that giving over land brings peace, and outed the PA, in light of their repeated rejections of statehood, as the obstacle to peace.

Now we will see how badly Pajama wants peace. Now we will see if Israeli security is a "top priority." Now there is nowhere for the PA mafia to hide. They must rise to the challenge, as must the White House, or admit to their eternal bigotry, hate, and advocation of genocide. If the White House continues to push Israel without bringing this issue of Israel's existence to an end, then there is no possible way to see the Resident as anything else than an enemy of Israel, and the enemy of the Jewish people. He will stand either as an honest broker who helped usher in a new era for the Jewish people, or he will stand with Haman and Amalek as our eternal enemy. There is no middle ground anymore, not for the Palestinians and not for Obama. So far he has shown his allegiance to our enemies. The burden is on him, not Israel.

The PM has made it clear that the national consensus in Israel is that Palestinian refugees will not be absorbed by Israel, but by a Palestinian state. Israel absorbed the Jewish refugees from Arab countries. A Palestinian state must do the same its refugee population.

He repeated his call for building an economic peace as a sensible building block for advancing political peace.

The live feed crapped out after a little more than 13 minutes so I will have to wait for the transcript to be released to comment further. So far, I am pleased. Netanyahu is standing up to Pajama, standing up for Israel, conceding nothing, and at last making the moral demand that Israel finally be accepted by the world as the permanent homeland of the Jewish people.

UPDATE: Bibi called for a Palestinian state to be demilitarized, with no control of airspace in order to protect Israel's cities, and Ben-Gurion airport, as well as insure the unhindered access of Israel's air force to her skies. This is a fail-safe. I think we can all rest assured that the Pajama Game will never demand PA recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, nor will they accept demilitarization. Well, you've already been offered the two best plans you're ever going to get so now you get what's left. In the meantime, construction in the established settlement blocks will continue.

So basically what happened is that Bibi reiterated what he already told Pajama at the White House. But as I said in my post commenting on that meeting, Pajama was too busy being a glamour puss for the cameras. If Pajama stopped being a self-absorbed, arrogant prick, and started acting like a President and a diplomat, he would have heard Bibi in the White House, acknowledged his position, and proceeded from that point. That's what diplomats do ya see. But let's let Hillary and the rest of Gamesters in Pajamaland also take fair share of the blame. I would say that this administration is making Shrub's look competent, but that wouldn't be true. It's just as fucked, for mostly the same reasons. The only difference is the words coming out of this set of idiots' mouths.

Summation? I think Bibi did about as well as could be expected. He vocalized the unwritten law of Israel's needs. He made the demands that the Left never has, not publicly and unequivocally. No Palestine, and no regional peace until the Arab countries recognize Israel as the permanent homeland of the Jewish people, a commitment to that, and a complete and final, peaceful end to this bullshit. A Palestinian state would be solely responsible for absorbing its refugees, and would have no military capacity. Jerusalem will remain the undivided capital of Israel, under her control. Just how soon do you think the PA will consent to all that?

Just hours from PM Netanyahu's address, you know the speech that isn't going to make the brat in the White House happy, let's take a look around and see what we see.

The streets of Tehran have erupted in protests, the likes of which we have not seen since Khomeini returned to Iran after eating all those heavy sauces in France. What is Marack doing? Basically the equivalent of, "Well, isn't that special." Bobby "Stop Asking Questions" Gibbs says Marack is "impressed with the vigorous debate and enthusiam this election has generated," and they're watching the situation, "closely." I feel much better.

Housin Mousavi is under house arrest, and the rioting is in its second day. So let me get this straight, the man who made a moral equivalence between the victims of the Holocaust and Arab refugees says the moral equivalent of nothing in the face of a megalomaniacal mullah backed madman stealing an election. Wait...that's what happened with Marack getting nominated and elected too. I suppose he and Igogettajob are now blood brothers or something. They should swap spit on MSNBC. Keith and Chris would probably soil their drawers.

The violence on the streets in Iran is continuing today, while Mousavi calls for the election results to be cancelled. Under normal circumstances I would expect an American President to take a firm stand with a country that has thwarted the international community's efforts to inspect and regulate its nuclear program, and suppresses the electoral will of the people. But since Marack Insane Pajama is in the White House I suspect we'll just have to accept that he will do nothing, with the possible exception of more of his running around with his nose smelling like Igogettajob's rear.

Let's see...what else...oh, speaking of getting a tingle up your leg, Jimmy Carter confesses his love for the Palestinians. He must love them more since kassam rockets hit Ashkelon today. And here's another heartwarming reason for him to love them. A fifteen year old Arab boy was killed by his family. Either they accidently beat him to death and faked a hanging because they didn't mean to kill him, or they beat him and then hung him as they suspected he was collaborating with Israel.

The PA preliminary investigation indicates the boy was "brutally tortured" before being hanged...by his family. Apparently the villagers thought he had either killed himself, or was playing a game with his friends...no, really.

If the villagers actually thought it was possible that he was hung as part of a game with friends it makes me wonder if "hang the Israel collaborator" is their version of kick the can.

General Adnan Damiri expressed his "outrage" at the crime that was committed solely by family members. There seem to be conflicting stories depending on the news outlet you read. The one consistency seems to be that the boy is dead and his family is responsible. Damiri says the perps will be tried. Interesting. Of course, if it turns out the boy was working with the Israelis he'd be the youngest informer in PA history, and his family would most likely go free as hundreds of collaborators/informants have been openly executed by the Palestinians over the years.

But since the incident is being investigated, by all means, let's create a new state for the PA.

What I'm wondering is this; is it actually a crime for Arabs in the PA to kill collaborators? In a place where selling one's property to a Jew is capital crime, I'm going with "no" on that one. And in Gaza, run by the charitable and just Hamas, treatment of so-called collaborators with Israel have their rich pageants begin something like this:

I'm sure the Left will find a way to blame this on Israel.

So while Iran is degenerating into chaos, the PA is still demonstrating itself to be an anarchic medieval mafiafest, Hamas is still holding a kidnapped Israeli soldier, and is still firing rockets deep into Israel, the Prime Minister of Israel actually has to go through the exercise of explaining why his country's security interests trump creating a state for the PA mafia. And all because the American electorate is dumber than a bag of hammers and voted for this:

I was doing my Shabbas stroll through the blogosphere and saw a story posted at Maggie's Notebook that I find to be highly ironic. From the nation that brought you the appeasement of Adolph Hitler and German National Socialism comes this latest round of weak-mindedness.

Always on the quest to find new and exciting ways to please, appease, placate, and accommodate their Islamic masters, members of the British Parliament are debating removing the red cross, symbol of the American Red Cross, and Co-symbol of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) because of it invoking symbols of the Crusades, and thus pissing off Muslims. What is ironic is that this is not the first time such a controversy has surrounded the ICRC. This of course involved the people everyone loves to hate: the Jews.

For years the ICRC refused to admit Magen David Adom, Israel's version of the Red Cross. Magen David Adom's symbol is its name: a red Star of David (the Star of David was first submitted for ICRC approval in 1931). Apparently the use of this symbol is a violation of the 1949 Geneva Conventions which state that member national societies of the ICRC must conform to the "Ten Conditions for Recognition." One of these conditions is that they must, "Use the name and emblem of the Red Cross or Red Crescent in conformity with the Geneva Conventions."

For fifty years the ICRC insisted that the use of the Magen David disqualified the Jewish organization from even being recognized as a national society. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. MDA, being an Israeli based organization, has access to what is widely considered to be the most advanced medical facilities and technologies on the planet, which MDA freely uses to treat everyone, regardless of their nationality or ethnicity.

In order to pave the way for MDA to be accepted the ICRC, with a lot of arm twisting, passed the so-called Third Protocol that created a neutral symbol, the "red crystal" which would be used by national societies operating in other countries that do not use the cross or crescent like Israel and Eritrea. Under this protocol MDA was finally accepted into the ICRC in June of 2006. Two hundred thirty-seven countries voted to admit MDA, while 54 voted against. There were 18 abstentions. Naturally the Arab and Muslim countries fought tooth and nail against this, rejecting every compromise proposal that was made.

In 2006, Abraham Foxman wrote an excellent essay on MDA's acceptance to the ICRC that began this way:

Since the founding of the Jewish state, there has been one undeniable and sad fact surrounding Israel's existence. Aside from the five wars that have threatened its borders and the horrific campaign of suicide bombings and terrorist attacks that have tested its resolve and strength, there has always been an equally insidious, yet quieter movement afoot to undermine and de-legitimize the Jewish state.

This relentless campaign is waged not through rockets and bombs, but through hundreds of deliberate acts of omission, large and small, in international fora. The Arab boycott was one manifestation of this orchestrated attempt to isolate the state of Israel. Yet, through the years there have been countless other insults and exclusions, from Israeli athletes being forbidden from participating in sporting events, to maps showing only "Palestine," to travel prohibitions for Israeli citizens in Muslim countries, and professional boycotts.

And, as if we needed a reminder as to our unique status in the world, the official recognition of the Holocaust by the United Nations, sixty years after the fact, demonstrated again the hurdles thrown up by those anti-Semitic and anti-Israel forces intent on discrediting, degrading, and discriminating against the Jewish state and people.

With this bleak backdrop of history, there was much to celebrate in the decision by the International Committee of the Red Cross to finally recognize and admit Israel's emergency services and first-aid organization, the Magen David Adom, as a full member after more than 56 years of exclusion from this important international humanitarian body.

Now British parliamentarians like Labor MK Chris Bryant want to remove the original symbol of the ICRC, a symbol that was jointly sanctified decades ago, and one that Red Crescent apparently had no problem with. Why? Since it's not because the red cross offends the Red Crescent member societies of the ICRC, it must be out of fear of their growing Muslim population. I contend that it is an admission of their fear; a fear they deal with by embracing appeasement in the hopes that Muslims in Britain don't go jihadi on their ass, rather than moving to protect the rights of all Britains to live without fear.

Here's a little reminder to the stupid idiots in Parliament as to what happens when you appease a scorpion in your midst:

Minister Bryant, how is it that your nation achieved mastery of the seas, and established the farthest ranging empire since Alexander the Great? Surely it was not by being completely fucking stupid. But perhaps this is karma for all the harm the empire caused. How many Jews died in Nazi gas chambers because of Britain's policy of preventing Jewish immigration to Mandate Palestine during World War II? How people died at British hands in lands held by the Crown? You have no idea. Now you live in fear of the very people who have fought unceasingly for Israel's destruction for 61 years. But still Javier Solana calls for the undermining of Israel at Europe's peril.

You just don't get it. Chamberlain didn't spare Europe the Nazi war machine. Sticking out Israel's neck for the jihadist knife will not spare you either. Strengthening, supporting, and standing with Israel against Iran, Hizbullah, Hamas, and Fatah however, will. Of course, the manifest Jew hate that permeates parts of British society isn't helping you either. Well, stupid is as stupid does.

If I Forget Thee, O Jerusalem

While the rumors flying fast and furious around Bibi's speech are being called so much bunk, Netanyahu met with the more hardline members of his coalition today including Shas and Habayit Hayehudi. Habayit MK Zevulun Orlev spoke of being "relieved" following their meeting.

Word is from Western diplomats that the White House is not going to be happy. Here's a news flash to the current administration: In the final analysis, in the face of Israel choosing living or dying, your happiness means nothing. It means less than nothing. The safety and survival of Israel means everything.

Accepting the creation of an Arab state in Judea and Samaria under current circumstances does nothing for Israel's safety and survival. Why should Israel consent to it? Because Obama wants it? Giving a spoiled brat what he wants only exacerbates the problem. What guarantees has the United States offered in the name of Israel's security, something which the White House has called a "top priority?" The current American regime has offered nothing. What does Israel get in exchange for freezing settlements and accepting the division of Jerusalem? War.

No Resident Obama, Israel does not care if you are happy. Your happiness does not protect Israeli citizens. Your happiness does not maintain the existence of the Jewish people's renewed homeland, not one that was made up out of thin air as payment for our near extinction as you contended last week, but one that has been the home of the Jewish people for 4000 years, uninterrupted, despite the exile of the majority of our nation, and its being controlled by other nations and empires. It was our home regardless of who controlled it. It is safe for us to call it home because we control it now. We control this little place so that the Jewish nation, like every other nation, can maintain control of its national destiny, and have a place where we are not led to the slaughter like lambs. We are lambs no longer. The current government of Israel was not elected to make you happy Resident Obama. It was elected to stand up to you.

If Pajama's unhappiness is predicted then I imagine the settlement freeze will be formally rejected. The unconditional creation of a Palestinian state will not be accepted.

Beyond those issues this is how I would handle Sunday, if I were Bibi.

With the Pajama regime refusing to accept agreements between the US and Israel that it doesn't like, I see no reason for the Israeli government to grant any continued endorsement or participation in the roadmap farce.

The division of Jerusalem is off the table.

There is no talking, no negotiating, no concept of creating an autonomous Arab entity on one square inch of any land between the Mediterranean and the Jordan until the body of governance, and the parties that control it, unconditionally accept Israel as the permanent Jewish homeland. After 61 years of them attempting to destroy her, Israel should not have to accept anything less, and should refuse to accommodate any world leader who would attempt to force her to do otherwise.

I would then send Pajama a case of Turtle Wax and year's supply of Rice-a-Roni (the San Francisco treat) with a note enclosed that said, "Dear Mr. President, with all due respect, go fuck yourself.

The next day I would get on a plane to St. Petersberg and then head to India to talk with political bodies with whom it has common security and economic interests.

By The Banks of the Litani: Spies and Lies, and Related Bonus: Iranian Plutonium for Al-Qaida?

Something is going on in Lebanon. Reports are coming out that a number of suspected Israeli spies have been arrested. The Lebanese Telecommunications Minister, Gibran Bassil, made the accusation this past Tuesday that Israel was garbling cellular communications in Lebanon.

The cellular network in Lebanon is considered to be incapable of supporting all of Lebanon's users. It's not a stretch to assume that, considering this occurred around the elections in Lebanon that traffic was up and the network couldn't sustain it.

Bassil mentioned that he made claims a couple months ago that Israeli interference might take place. Is it possible? Never say never. But when you consider the fact that Israel has used cell phone technology to assassinate terrorist leaders I have a feeling that a country that doesn't have a sustainable cellular network is not going to be able to detect the sources of Israeli interference as Bassil has claimed.

But perhaps they could do it with some help with a group already in Lebanon. Would this be Hizbollah? Nope. Try UNIFIL.

That's right folks, the UN body that was put in place following the Hizbollah's kidnapping of Israeli soldiers and the subsequent poorly conceived campaign waged by Ehud Olmert against Hizbollah which, like Operation Cast Lead, failed to finish the job, despite Kadima's claim of victory, let slip that it is involved with seeking out Israeli spies. Is it me, or does that sound a bit out of their mandate? Anyway, as part of the treaty, yet another piece of crap that Israel had no business signing, UNIFIL was supposed to be responsible for making sure that Syria was no longer funneling Iranian weapons to their terror proxy in Lebanon. They have failed miserably at this mission. In fact, if you scratched the surface, I would suspect you'd find that UNIFIL enabled the weapons trafficking, as reports are that Nasrallah and his cast of idiots now has rockets with greater range than they had in 2006.

According to JPost, Israel Channel 1o reported the story:

According to the report, the UNIFIL activity was uncovered two days ago, during a video conference conducted between the Spanish defense minister and various Spanish military commanders stationed throughout the world, in which the commanders briefed the minister on their military operations. In a video aired by Channel 10, the Spanish UNIFIL commander was seen reporting that his troops had been engaged in "looking for Israeli spies."

"I would like to note the continuation of operations that were conducted this week, searching for an Israeli spy ring." he began. "A number of arrests were made."

Now that we have evidence that UNIFIL has been helping find alleged Israeli spies, I think it's safe to say that at best they have been turning a blind eye to the weapons traffic, and at worst are serving as the conduit.

It has also been reported that two Israeli sisters were arrested with passports showing conflicting originations.

Now here's another little wrinkle to the story. Again, from JPost

Two Hizbullah operatives arrested recently in Azerbaijan for allegedly plotting to attack the Israeli Embassy were caught with Iranian passports and were working on behalf of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as well as al-Qaida, Azeri news reports have reported.

According to new details revealed this week, the two men - identified as Karaki Ali Muhammad and Najmaddin Ali Huseyn - were caught with Iranian passports that they used to enter Azerbaijan.

In addition to the embassy, the cell planned to attack a Jewish community center in Baku as well as the Gabala Radar Station that Russia leases from Azerbaijan and is located in the north of the country.

Here's a little geography quiz. What radical Islamic country seeking nuclear weapons, and currently being appeased by the Marack Pajama administration, borders Azerbaijan? If you said Iran go get yourself a Klondike Bar.

And isn't it interesting that the supposed Israeli spy ring roundup is happening while two Lebanese Hizbullah operatives are on trial in Azerbaijan? Why yes, it is very interesting.

There are more details from The Daily Star, which also mentions the Iran/Al-Qaida connection. Interesting that Western anti-terror sources say the attack on the Israeli Embassy was revenge for the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh, but there is no mention of the motive for the planned attack on the radar station.

So what do we really have here? I think we have Iran shitting its pants that Israel, possibly with the help of the Russians, or Saudis, or a number of other nation states that have a vested interest in making sure Iran's nuclear ambitions are bombed back to the Stone Age, is going to launch an attack against them and do just that. If the Iranians are desperate enough to take on the Russians in this capacity then they must consider it possible for Israel to accomplish the mission. I think it might also be safe to say that the Russian S 300 Defense Missile system sale to Iran is in the toilet.

And what can we say about the link that is being made between the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Al-Qaida? Perhaps mutual interest in radicalizing Azerbaijani Muslims? Iran is shiite, Al-Quackers is Sunni. I think it's very safe to say that if this link is true and correct, that Al-Qaeda expects to be the beneficiary of nuclear material from Iran which it could use against Israel, Saudi Arabia, and of course the United States; all common enemies between the two.

As the clock runs out on the Iranian nukes issue, the game is afoot. I told you things were getting really interesting...and now deadly.

Aren't you glad that Marack Pajama is going to sit back and do nothing while Iran produces plutonium that is looking like it is heading into the hands Al-Qaida?
