According to the NIC wikipedia page, the role of the NIC is to, "...provide policymakers with the best information: unvarnished, unbiased and without regard to whether the analytic judgments conform to current U.S. policy.
According to Peggy Shapiro at American Thinker, two Congressman (Steven Kirk of Illinois, and Eric Cantor of Virginia), have ten problems with Mr. Freeman. Ms. Shapiro lists the following:
A. Heading an organization which accepted $1 million donation from the Saudis;Do you think the Resident would receive "unvarnished" and "unbiased" information regarding the security needs of Israel? No, me neither.
B. Lobbying for the Saudi government;
C. Accusing Israel of Nazis tactics;
D. Denying claims of any historical Jewish presence in Jerusalem and blaming Israel for the lack of peace in the Middle East;
E. Publishing anti-Semitic canards such as the U.S. sacrificing its self interests because of a powerful Jewish cabal;
F. Promoting public schools textbooks which the independent Textbook League describe as "a vehicle for disseminating disinformation, including a multitude of false, distorted or utterly absurd claims that are presented as historical facts. ...[with] three principal purposes: inducing teachers to embrace Islamic religious beliefs; inducing teachers to embrace political views that are favored by the MEPC, Middle East Policy Council (formerly the American Arab Affairs Council)...; and impelling teachers to disseminate those religious beliefs and political views in schools";
G. Marketing educational materials which recreate world history and refer to the land of Israel only as Palestine and claim that native American Iroquois and Algonquin chiefs had names like "Abdul-Rahim and Abdallah Ibn Malik";
H. Blaming the U.S. for the terror attack of 9/11;
I. Praising Hamas as the only democratically elected government in the Arab world and excusing terrorism as a response to Israel's and the U.S. "unreasoning hostility and condemnation."
I think that it is more than fair to say that by nominating Freeman, Shirley Juan Martin Luther Lincoln Peron Jr. Jr. is not friend of Israel. Again, his White House is lining up against the State Department's statements on Israel, laying the ground work for a potential rift in the administration. We will have to continue to wait to see whether Clinton will flip on the tradtionally anti-Israel stance of the Department of State, or whether she will cave to pressure from Shirley Peron Jr. Jr's masters.
American Jewry, keep your eyes on the problem: the douchebag usurper in the White House.

If I were a security analyst for an American intelligence agency I would contend that the greatest threat to the safety and security of the United States and Israel is the Resident of the United States. As an actual natural born citizen of the United States of America I will make the same contention.

Shitbird? I freakin' love that one!
But come on Shtuey - what did you expect from the resident kenyan, brit, indonesian, whatever usurper in chief? NOBOBY IS GOING TO GET A FAIR SHAKE!
Onward - hope to see you in DC on 9/11.
many already know about freeman. thanks for alerting the ignorant. in my unimportant opinion, he is the single most dangerous "pick" of the O'gasmic team, with others in hot pursuit.
I won't harp on Hill. I've made my views known and I stand by my assertions. Someone who responded to another post of yours claimed that she's not two-faced. I love her as much as the next PUMA, and walked the walked, but for those who truly know politics and some "inside the beltway" folks, I assure you...ALL politicians are two-faced. This is not the time to close our eyes and play wishful thinking. Everyone in his admin is culpable right now unless they abandon their posts.
Petunia, fact is that Hillary being in the Big Chair at Foggy Bottom means that someone like John Kerry, Susan Rice, or Samantha Power is not. Though these players are in a position to help execute an end run around State, at least the current face of DoS is someone who has so far been reminding everyone that Hamas is a terror group, and has obligations to meet before it will be allowed to sit at the table. I firmly believe that without her there the American enabling of Hamas would be fait a complis. Time will tell where the chips will fall. I agree that this is no time to be wearing rose colored glasses about anyone.
Alas, Hillary may be the only one who feels compelled to leave the American tragedy that is this current administration. I've said before that I see a potential Middle-East policy showdown brewing for this administration. If it comes we'll see what HRC does. If she is asked to compromise on her department's stated condition regarding Hamas and she does, then we'll know. I imagine that if this happens it will be within a few months of Netanyahu's government coming to power. Iran and Pakistan are two other litmus tests.
There are a lot of veils that need to be peeled away before the big picture becomes fully clear, and who falls where.
