How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. The New Ad From Democrats of Principle Before Party

Right on as usual.

Obama Zombies Awake!!!

Well well well, once again more Pamper Poopies are waking from their long sleep.  This time it's his obvious connection to ACORN's campaign of voter registration fraud on his behalf.  Israpudit has collected comments from mypampers.com for your reading pleasure.  Please note that some members have had their accounts deleted; the price you are made to pay by Obama's Stalinists if you dare speak out against Dear Leader.

McCain's Mortgage Rescue Plan Catching On

It is being reported today that a Rasmussen survey shows that 52% of those surveyed support Senator John McCain's plan for the federal government to use a portion of the $700 billion rescue package to help buy up mortgages to help keep Americans from foreclosure.  Mike Sunnucks of the Phoenix Business Journal reports:
Support for the plan crosses party lines with more Democrats backing McCain’s idea than Republicans, according to the Rasmussen poll.
Sunnucks also notes that Obama opposes the plan.  As I have said in previous posts, John McCain is embracing a policy he knows is unpopular with his party.  Why?  Because, as he's been saying over and over again, John McCain puts his country first.  He knows that his friend, Senator Clinton, is one of the most brilliant minds in the Senate, with a wonkish grasp of the economy that is so complete it is scary.  So when she writes an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal advocating a revival of the HOLC, McCain listens, and knows it will work.  McCain has history on his side.  Now it seems he is also drawing America to his side.

While Barack Obama continues to try to let the ACORN/Housing Market plan play out, with the hopes that this will propel him into the White House and allow for an atmosphere of panic that he and his backers will try to use to their advantage if he wins, Senator McCain is taking a great political risk in order to save our flagging economy, and keep Americans in their homes.

This is the McCain the nation saw on the campaign trail in 2000; the risk taker, the public servant.  This election has never been about a lust for power as we see with Pampers.  It's about the smirking wise ass who ended up in a stinking shit hole in Hanoi, who emerged a humble man understanding all that he had taken for granted, dedicating the rest of his life to serving the country he loves.  He loves it so much that he's willing to embrace a policy that originated with a Democratic President, and was advocated recently by a Democratic Senator from New York that he greatly admires.  The contrast between John McCain and the Democrat nominee could not be more clear.

BUSH SUCKED IS NOT A PLAN...or Why Does Pampers Hate Americans?

He does ya know. He must, otherwise he wouldn't be attacking John McCain's plan to buy up and renegotiate millions of subprime mortgages. It worked in the Depression, keeping banks solvent and Americans in their homes. But Pampers doesn't like that plan. He says it will reward banks for bad behavior (I find that highly ironic considering his campaign finance queen, Penny Pritzker, is one of the driving forces behind the subprime mortgage fiasco) Why does Pampers want people put out of their homes and banks to close due to insolvency, further destroying our economy? Hmm...because he thinks it will help him win? We already know that he tried to convince the Iraqi government to delay moving on American troop withdrawal so he could take credit for winning the war. He's willing to keep the men and women of our military in harm's way for his own benefit, so what the fuck does he care if you lose your home? He's banking that you'll blame George Bush like he does. What's the old Pampers motto? If you don't have a plan just blame Bush.

Pampers, I have news for you: BUSH SUCKED IS NOT A PLAN!!!

We know Bush was a fuck up, we lived through it moron. But no matter how many times you say it, it's not going to change the fact that this whole mess is because your party let Fannie and Freddie abuse the system, grant mortgages to people who couldn't afford them, and then took money from F&F executives in the form of ginormous campaign contributions. So pardon me if I say go fuck yourself asshat.

Bush Sucked does not stabilize Iraq, Afghanistan, Waziristan, and Pakistan. Bush Sucked does not prevent millions of more Americans from losing their homes when the next set of subprime mortgages adjust to higher rates. Bush Sucked is not going to free up credit lines so that money begins flowing back into the system.

Hillary Clinton and John McCain have both proposed employing variations of the Home Owner's Loan Corporation. You flatly rejected these plans. The economy continues to tank. More Americans are losing their homes.

So Pampers, because you are an ignorant, arrogant, self-absorbed, thoughtless asshat who only cares about getting into the White House, here's yet another Congressman who proposed the HOLC idea...back in January. His name is Mark Steven Kirk. Perhaps you've heard of him. He serves Illinois' 10th district. He's yet another Republican who is embracing a plan instituted by a Democratic President. Here's the text of a statement he released advocating a similar plan Hillary and McCain's. Read it carefully Pampers because it will explain exactly how the HOLC worked, and how successful it was.
WASHINGTON – As the sub-prime mortgage crisis deepens, U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) today called for the temporary reinstitution of the Home Owners' Loan Corporation, one of Congress’s most successful efforts to protect homeowners from foreclosure in the 1930s. The Home Owners’ Loan Corporation for the 21st Century (HOLC21) would acquire defaulted loans from mortgage lenders and offer sustainable refinance options for homeowners, preventing further foreclosures. During 2008, 1.8 million sub-prime borrowers will see their adjustable rate mortgages reset upward, with increases every six months to follow.

“Of the more than $10 trillion in outstanding mortgage loans in the United States, $1.3 trillion are sub-prime, and half of those have adjustable rates,” Congressman Kirk said. “Approximately 20 percent of those adjustable rate mortgages are now past due. Congress should help homeowners refinance their mortgages to keep their homes. Reinstituting the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation would put us on a path to stave off a mortgage-default spiral and bolster our economy. The Corporation was a temporary institution that stopped a crisis, kept Americans in their homes and then closed, repaying the taxpayer with a profit.”

In the early 1930s, nearly 50 percent of all mortgage loans were in default. In 1933, the Congress established the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation with the following goals: (1) Protect homeowners from foreclosure; (2) Relieve homeowners of the higher interest and principal payments incurred during periods of higher property values and higher earning power; (3) Declare that it was a national policy to protect home ownership; (4) Impose the least possible cost on the federal treasury; and (5) Avoid injustice to the investor.

HOLC, established in 1933, was a temporary corporation which restored liquidity and stability to uncertain mortgage markets. HOLC acquired and refinanced over 1 million troubled mortgage loans—about 20 percent of all mortgage loans in the country. HOLC only rescued current mortgages for three years, 1934-37, stopping a panic among banks and other financial institutions. The Corporation issued $2 billion in bonds with maturities up to 18 years with interest rates two percentage points above the federal reserve rate. Using those bonds, HOLC purchased troubled mortgages from lenders at a substantial discount (on average 20 percent below their pre-depression value), then offering reasonable refinancing options to homeowners. This prevented a total collapse of banks and allowed families to remain in their homes. States and local communities appreciated keeping local taxpayers in their homes rather than turning whole neighborhoods into rat-infested ghost towns. After fulfilling its statutory mission, HOLC was liquidated in 1951, returning a $14 million surplus to the Treasury.

“A short-term stimulus package that includes $25 billion for HOLC21 will provide needed stability to a volatile market and help lower-income borrowers stay in their homes,” Congressman Kirk said. “A three-year authorization, remaining in operation until its portfolio was resolved, is an economically sound and fiscally responsible solution to the sub-prime mortgage crisis. This solution is a ‘win-win:’ Banks avoid total bankruptcy and homeowners get to keep their homes. Once the panic subsides, the taxpayer will be repaid.”
So please Pampers explain to us how it is that FDR was wrong. Please, I'm dying to hear o wise and powerful Oz.

This plan will work. You know it and you can't stand it, so as always you're whining and throwing a tantrum because it wasn't your idea. Just remember, Hillary handed this plan to you and your party on a silver platter and you crapped on it.

Now I hear that you've purchased a half hour of prime time TV on two networks so you can no doubt tell us that Bush Sucked and John McCain is Bush and you have a plan to help our economy by baking a cake of hope. Screw you. I can only imagine how many millions of dollars it is costing to pay for that air time. I know there are a lot of Americans out there that wish they had access to the smallest fraction of that money so they could pay their bills and put food on the table. I'm constantly seeing your tv ad parade of lies and bullshit where you talk about how suffering is trickling up. That prime time ad buy sure is helping. You couldn't possibly be more of an asshole. At least there is one candidate in this election who is trying to lead, who cares about what's happening to people in this country, and is trying to do something about it other than say Bush Sucked.

Thank you Senator McCain for listening. Thank you for understanding that the American people are suffering. Homeowners don't want a giveaway. They'll pay their mortgages if they can afford them. Thank you for seeing that. This is the mark of leader. You have scored major points with me Senator McCain. I endorse the principles of your plan. With the help of Republicans like Mark Steven Kirk and Democrats like Hillary Clinton, I believe you might be able to get us out of this mess.

What's Obama Got In His Cheeks?

Why that would be ACORN.  America's favorite messianic squirrel is finally under the gun for his use of the fraudulistic grassroots organization to bloat Democratic voter registrations in states across the country.  PUMAs have been sounding the alarm about Pampers' relationship with the nuts at ACORN for months.  Finally, even the obtuse media is picking up the story (I suppose it takes an FBI investigation to make that happen).

Read the editorial in Investor's Business Daily

I agree.  The McCain campaign needs to be prepared to challenge voter registration rolls now.

The Federal Government has been funding these asshats for years.  Now the Republicans are finally demanding that this funding cease.  Here is House Minority Leader John Boehner's statement on the need to defund ACORN:

"The latest allegations of voter registration fraud by ACORN are further evidence that this group cannot be trusted with another dollar of the taxpayers' money.

"Election cycle after election cycle, this organization has been at the forefront of breaking the law in order to promote their left-wing agenda. All the while, they have been the recipients of millions of dollars of federal funding through various federal programs and third-party groups. House Republicans took at stand recently to cut off funding to an ACORN slush fund created by their allies in the House Majority, but now more must be done.

"All federal funding to ACORN must be stopped. The ACORN slush fund must be disbanded. Sources of federal funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development or any other agency must be stopped. Contracting for services between candidates for federal office and ACORN, as Senator Obama has done, must end. Now that the taxpayers own Fannie Mae, any funding from Fannie Mae's nonprofit foundation to ACORN must stop.

"ACORN spent decades promoting the housing policies that brought America's economy to the brink, and similarly over the years has committed fraud on our system of elections, making American voters question the fairness and accuracy of the exercise of their most fundamental right under the Constitution. Now it is time to cut off ACORN before it grows even more destructive."

Congressman Boehner I couldn't agree with you more.  But you fail to mention that it was corrupt Democratic politicians in Congress that generated and approved those policies, despite the warnings of Bill Clinton and Congressional Republicans, that Fannie and Freddie practices were leading us into economic turmoil.

America, do you have any idea how screwed we are?

Hard Times Require Real Solutions

As the evidence mounts that the financial rescue bill is not giving anyone on Wall Street any confidence, and the Fed Chairman's heavy dose of reality that this crisis will continue into 2009, Americans are clamoring for someone to lead, someone to light the way to a solution.  Someone has, and someone listened.

While Barack Obama continues to blame the current economic crisis on George Bush and the Republicans, three things are becoming increasingly obvious:
  1. Obama has no plan.  Telling Americans we'll get through this while offering no solutions is not a plan (translation; if you vote for Obama you're stupid beyond reason).
  2. As I have documented on this blog, it is in fact corrupt Congressional Democrats that are responsible for this crisis, while John McCain and Congressional Republicans tried to take action to avert it.  It is incontrovertible.  It is recorded in the Congressional Record.  No one can deny it.  Period.
  3. Barack Obama has benefitted directly from the corrupt relationship between Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and the Democratic Party.
As has also been documented here, Senator Clinton proposed a solution to the mortgage/credit crisis by calling for the reactivation of the Home Owners Loan Corporation that was set up by FDR during the Great Depression.  None of her Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate listened to her.  I suppose she is still being shrouded by Democrats as Obama lives in perpetual fear of her.  But one man listened.  One man was inspired.  One man has generated a proposal that would reflect Senator Clinton's idea.  That man is, not surprisingly, John McCain.

A senior McCain advisor acknowledged in the New York Times that it was Senator Clinton's op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that has inspired McCain's mortgage buyback and readjustment plan.  It is the only proposal that has been issued by either candidate regarding the current crisis, and, if done correctly, will be effective.

While John McCain is showing some leadership, willingly putting forward a proposal that many members of his party will label as "socialist," in order to directly help struggling Americans, Pampers is demonstrating that he is wholly and totally unfit, and unwilling to lead this country; especially in the difficult economic times we are in now.  The Democratic nominee has already condemned the plan, saying it would only help financial institutions.  So either:
  1. Obama doesn't understand the plan being proposed, or
  2. He does understand it but, since he has no plan of his own, he is attacking McCain's by lying about it so that everyone will continue riding the Hope and Change express straight to economic hell.  After all, Obama has absolutely no interest in helping you.  He only cares about winning.
Pampers offers no hope.  He offers no change.  He only offers further criticism so that nothing will get done, the economy will continue to flounder, hoping the electorate will be stupid enough to think that he will then right the ship as President.  That is not how one leads in a time of crisis and hardship.

A leader is bold.  A leader offers solutions.  A leader embraces proposals that will effect immediate change in the lives of Americans who are struggling.  I applaud Senator McCain for giving credit where credit is due; to Senator Clinton.  All the more reason why this year I will not be supporting the Democratic nominee, and find more confidence in the Republican Senator from Arizona.

In embracing Senator Clinton's proposal John McCain has proven three things:
  1. He will stand up to his party to do what is best for the American people.
  2. He is ready to lead this country, and extend his hand to those who offer real solutions.
  3. Most importantly, Senator Clinton's knowledge and expertise in the areas of finance and economics is going to be vital to the process of righting our nation's economic ship.
In 2009 Senator Clinton could potentially be serving Americans in one of three possible capacities: Senate Majority Leader, Secretary of the Treasury, Chair of the Federal Reserve.  Any of these positions would be suitable.  A party that cares about the nation's future would make her majority leader.  A President who embraces bipartisanship would appoint her to his cabinet.

Though neither candidate has proven they possess Senator Clinton's competency to lead this nation, one has at least recognized her knowledge, and has dared to put forward a policy that will make a huge difference in the lives of individual Americans, the American economy, and world economic markets.  Thank you Senator McCain for offering a real solution, real hope, and something resembling leadership in this crisis.  I urge you to extend your hand to Senator Clinton to push this proposal through so that we can keep Americans in their homes, and hopefully stop the abuses of the system that people like Senator Obama have embraced.

For a look at how a President leads in economic crisis I urge you to read the following post from Heidi Li's Potpourri.  We have no Roosevelt running this year.  The candidate that was got kicked to the curb by the fascists at the DNC.  We are going to need her leadership in 2009, and a President willing to embrace her.   Only one candidate has demonstrated that he is willing to do so.  Think about that on November 4th.

All Our Vows

Tonight and tomorrow Jews around the world will be in synagogues fasting, praying, and meditating as part of the observance of Yom Kippur; the Day of Atonement.  It is a day when Jews stand before their Creator and say, "Here I am, with all my faults, all my failings, and all the good within me."  It is a day of reflection.  It is a day of self-evaluation.  It is a day that ends in rebirth, a clean slate, an opportunity to start anew and reaffirm ourselves as members of the community.

The 24 hour fast begins with the traditional Kol Nidre service.  Kol Nidre, or All our Vows, is essentially a petition an individual makes between themselves and their Creator asking for release from any personal oaths they make during the year.  Though this may seem like a cop out, as if to say that any vows I make in the coming year I can get out of.  This is a misnomer.  I believe it is really a declaration that we are fuckups, and often set goals for ourselves that we cannot attain, or do not have the character to fulfill.  It is a statement of the character of the individual that decides to look at themselves and honestly decide who they are, what they are capable of, how they can make themselves into what kind of human they want to become over the course of the coming year, and not make any oaths they know they will never fulfill.  Or, in striving to improve their character, make a vow that they break through weakness, or lack of readiness to truly fulfill it.

Oaths made between an individual and another party, or oaths that effect the lives of others do not fall in the category of vows that Kol Nidre addresses.  Oaths between parties must be fulfilled to the best of one's ability out of a legal and spiritual obligation.  I take an oath each year to attempt to improve myself, to stretch my boundaries and grow; to be a better human, to fight against injustice, fascism, and hypocrisy.  It's been a busy year on all fronts.  I have done what I can, but no doubt could have done more.  I will continue to strive to move forward.  I will be successful in some things.  I will fail in others.  I hope I have the wisdom to recognize those things for what they are and learn from them.  That's the best I can hope to do.

Rabbi Hillel taught that there is only one essential truth at the heart of the Torah: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you/Love thy neighbor as thyself.  In other words; treat people as you wish to be treated.  I try to live my life that way as best as I can, and hope that at the end of the year I've had more successes than failures in that regard.  But I see a corollary to the Golden Rule that, in my current evolutionary state, I employ; you should expect to be treated in kind for the way you treat me.  If you lie to me, do not expect me to trust you.  If you treat me with disrespect, do not expect respect in return.  I wonder if the Pamperbots have figured that out yet?

I have taken another oath this year.  I took a blood oath.  I took a blood oath to stand up for my democracy, to stand up for my country.  I took an oath to fight against those who would disenfranchise us, those who tear down our values and use them for their own gain.  I took an oath to fight against those who use fraud, intimidation, threats, and harassment to gain power.  I took an oath that is not simply between myself.  I took an oath that obligates me to millions of people who stood up and said that we will not, under any circumstances, vote for Barack Obama for President.  I meant it when I made that oath.  I take it as seriously as any other I have made.  I am a PUMA.  I took an oath.  I dare not break it.

There are some among us who will break their oaths.  I have heard of a few.  If I ask my Creator to release me from vows I may make to myself, how can I not release a brother or sister who breaks their oath that they made to me?  And you did make that oath to me PUMAs, just as I made my oath to you.  If you break that oath, I may release you from it, but I am one person.  You made an oath to millions, as did I.  These are difficult times.  Our nation is in peril.  Look around you, you know that's true.  You made a decision to swear to an ideal, a principle that fraud and fascism would not be rewarded; that coup d'etats and attack on democratic values and interests would not be accepted.  If you break your oath then you are complicit, and will stand to be counted with all those that committed the crimes against democracy this past year.

Where do you stand?  What is the worth of your word?  Now would be a good time to take a timeout and decide.

An easy fast to all those fulfilling it, and strength to all who need it.

Post Debate Anal ysis

Forget the school yard antics.

The Economy:  McCain hit the point that it is Congressional Democrats who allowed Fannie and Freddie to abuse the system, which is the source of the mortgage/credit market fiasco.  Renegotiating mortgages at their adjusted values makes sense as well.

Did Obama have a plan?  I think it was criticizing McCain.

On job creation:  Obama says the government needs to invest in renewable energy, etc.  Where's that money going to come from Pampers, your magic money tree?

For once corporate tax cuts make sense.  It's the private sector that is going to create the green jobs, not the government.  [But let's set those tax cuts up as incentives to corporations to create green jobs, and lessen their carbon footprints markedly.  Similar incentives should be made for small businesses]

On foreign policy; Pampers didn't answer the Pakistan question.  McCain wants to apply tailored surge principles to Waziristan and Afghanistan.  The only way you can get these tribes to back us is to make it worth their while.  Obama's solution?  We shouldn't have invaded Iraq.

As I've said before, arguing would have should have does not change the fact that we're there.  We need to deal with the now, not what we should have done.

Israel:  If Israel were attacked by Iran would we move unilaterally to defend Israel or would we consult the UNSC?

McCain unequivocally said we would not wait for others to approve our defense of Israel.

Obama never answered the question.  The closest he got was saying something about options being "on the table."  In other words, Israel can piss in the wind as far as Obama is concerned.  Let there be no debate on the subject.  He can go to synagogues, he can go to Yad Vashem.  He can go to the Kotel and publicize the contents of the note he placed there.  He can say whatever he likes.  But when asked what he would do in the event that Israel faced an existential threat he made it clear where he stands: nowhere.  If you vote for Obama, don't ever tell me you are a supporter of Israel.

On Russia:  Pampers claims he made a statement regarding Georgia in April.  The only statement he made was on his website, not on the floor of the Senate, not to any international body...so who fucking cares?  When he gave a press conference during the Russian invasion Pampers said he would demand the UN Security Council pass a resolution condemning Russian aggression, and demanding Russian withdrawal, failing to understand that Russia is a permanent member of the UNSC and can veto any resolution it likes.  Pampers doesn't even have a basic grasp of UNSC function, let alone have any ability to face down Vladimir Putin.

McCain once again has warned us about Ukraine.  As he mentioned in the last debate, Putin will very likely move against the Crimea, undermining Ukranian autonomy, and threatening energy distribution to Europe and elsewhere.  And when he says that he looked into Putin's eyes and saw three letters; KGB it is not a joke.  For you Pampers supporters that were in Pampers yourselves when the USSR existed, Vladimir Putin was the head of the KGB.  It has always been his intention to centralize power and return Russia to a totalitarian state.  It has been patently obvious from the time he took power.  McCain has known this from the beginning.  Bush failed to see it, but then Bush can't eat pretzels either.  McCain came off as being prepared.  Pampers is clueless.

Healthcare:  Both plans suck.  Though Pampers is lying when he says McCain's tax credit is a wash.  Five thousand dollars is a lot more than I would pay for a year of health insurance premiums.  But still, the plan ain't Hillary's...not by a long shot.  Pampers doesn't really have a plan.  He says you can get the same product as Congress, but who's going to pay for it?  Reducing costs with electronic files is bullshit.  It's words, not a plan.

Most likely this will be cast as a draw.  McCain has a better grasp of what we're facing.  Pampers probably communicated better, but didn't really say anything...as usual.

I humbly suggest a new format: Partisan Ticket Paintball  McCain/Palin v Pampers/Gaffeboy.  Maybe then everyone will stay awake.

Las Vegas ACORN Office Raided

Well well well...ACORN, the "grassroots" organization that Democrats wanted to fund with over a billion dollars from the financial rescue bill, has had their Las Vegas office raided as part of the state's investigation into voter fraud.

Do not vote for Obama!  Fight to eject the Democratic Party's leadership at the DNC and Congress, and work for Democratic Party reform.  Your democracy depends on it!

An Oh...my valve exclusive: Godless Americans are Killing Christmas!

That's right Christmas, your days are numbered. No more will I have to endure the omnipresence of yuletide carol trolls, the constant playing of Christmas musak, and parents caving each other's heads in to get the last Tickle Me Elmo. Why? Because Godless Americans PAC is on a crusade to

Apparently the North Carolina Republican State Executive Committee (authorized by and for the benefit of elizabeth dole committee inc) is sending out flyers against Kay Hagan saying that she has taken money from the godless founders of this godless pac that wants to, "Remove 'under God' from the pledge of allegiance." And they want to

"And they want Kay Hagan in the U.S. Senate."

That's right, Kay Hagan has planned the final assault on Christmas and Oh...my valve is breaking the story wide open! When pressured, the dust bunnies under my bed revealed Hagan's secret plot to

Using stealth bombers, the anti-Christmas commandos will fly to the North Pole, destroy Santa's workshop with bunker buster bombs, slaughter any surviving elves and flying reindeer, and give the presents to the godless hordes of Chinese. Then, using the flux capacitor Kay Hagan will use her amazing time traveling camel to go back to Bethlehem where she will eat the baby Jesus, and bring the magi back to our time, where they will be sold on ebay.

Yes, Republicans really spent money on this crap. And guess what? Elizabeth Dole is still an ass.
