It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

Lebanon Takes It's Ball and Goes Home

In a move that should wake up the world (as if it needed another wake up call...), the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Elias Murr, stated that if American aid comes with the caveat that they cannot use it for weapons to attack Israel then Uncle Sam can keep it.
“Whoever sets as a condition that the aid should not be used to protect Lebanon's land, people and borders from the [Zionist] enemy can keep their money.

“Let them keep their money or give it to Israel. We will confront [Israel] with our own capabilities.”
This statement was in response to the US House Foreign Affairs Committee decision to suspend aid to Lebanon due to the increased influence of Hizbullah in the Lebanese Army (read they control it), and the fear that the money would be spent on weapons with which it would attack Israel, an American ally (a fact that the White House has seemingly forgotten that while smoking their bong of Jew hate).

Berman stated:
“The incident on the Israel-Lebanon border only one day after my hold was placed simply reinforces the critical need for the United States to conduct an in-depth policy review of its relationship with the Lebanese military.”

Isn't it reassuring to know that the government of a sovereign nation (that is of course debatable in Lebanon's case) when confronted with another government's decision not to their liking pitches a hissy fit like a three-year-old?

Waaaaah! The United States won't let us attack the Zionist Entity! Waaaaaah!

What a bunch of babies. Let's see...with UNIFIL's complicity, and Lebanese government approval, the Lebanese army did a hit job on an Israeli Lt. Col, and gravely wounded an IDF captain, in clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 (which we know doesn't really mean squat, but that was the bit of diplomacy that kept Israel from bombing Hizbullah back to the stone age (that, and Ehud Olmert's lack of spine and his Defense Minister's utter incompetence).

The ultimate joke is that this tantrum followed a statement from another Lebanese official that they should look to Russia, China, Syria and Iran for future support. Everyone knows that Lebanon has been Syria's play thing for ages now, and has been getting Iranian weapons via Syria for years. Okay so they were largely going to Hizbullah, but since they now have de facto control of the government, and the military, there really is no difference.

In a normal world the community of nations would understand that Israel is indeed surrounded by neighbors that want her destroyed. But we live in Bizarro World where enemies are friends, allies are enemies, and bowing and scraping before despots passes for leadership.

So now the troika of Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon under Iran's sphere of influence is complete, all under the impotently stupid eye of the pResident of the United States who wasted a lot time playing patty-cake with these lunatics. Maybe send that worthless bootlick John Kerry back to Syria for another round of "Pin the Tail on Lurch." That oughta fix things.
