It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

Yes, It's a Jewish State

Arab Knesset MKs have their undies in a bunch because Likud MKs are introducing a bill that attempts to reassert the nature of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. How could the Jews have the temerity to do this? Well, because it's a Jewish state. Even the UN, and the League of Nations before it, said so. But still, a Jew cannot assert this truth without the Arabs pitching a hissy.

Likud MK Yariv Levin stated:

“There is a need to clarify basic truths that were clear in the past but for
some reason have been forgotten. There is a need to remind people again that the
State of Israel is not 'a Jewish and democratic state,' but rather 'a Jewish
state with a democratic regime, and that Israel was established for the purpose
of being the state of the Jewish people."

Frankly, I'm amazed that someone in the Knesset besides Tzipi Hotobeli, and the 4 members of Ichud Leumi, actually remember that. Maybe there should be a national holiday.

Arutz 7 reports:

He was referring to a bill that he proposed together with MK David Rotem
(Israel Our Home), intended to prevent the Supreme Court from knocking down a
temporary ordinance that prevents PA Arabs from gaining Israeli citizenship by
marrying Arabs who are Israeli citizens.

Another proposed law that
aroused tension was debated in the Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice
Committee on Tuesday. The bill would amend the Cooperative Association Law so as
to make it possible for Acceptance Committees in communities in the Galilee and
Negev to deny applicants the right to build a home there if they would not fit
the “lifestyle and social fabric” of the community, as well as the basic
ideology it espouses. The bill's opponents object to the fact that it would
allow the Jewish towns to reject Arab applicants. It was being prepared for the
first reading.

MK David Rotem, who chairs the committee, said, “I am not
ashamed to represent Zionism. When I seek to establish a Jewish community I am
not ashamed of it. We have the same rights but not the same obligations. This is
a Jewish state that was established for the Jews.”

MK Ophir Pines
(Labor) and the Arab MKs angrily accused Rotem of “racism," "apartheid,” and
“finishing off the country.”

Sorry dudes. It's a Jewish state. It's the homeland of our people, not yours. That's not racism. It's reality. Racism didn't seem to be much of an issue when Arab countries forcibly ejected more than 800,000 Jews from their homes, seized their possessions and property, and murdered plenty in 1948. I don't recall reading any accounts of Arabs protesting, screaming about apartheid, etc. What is going to finish the country is the combination of the Left's obsession with destroying the Jewish character of Israel and Arabs, who hate Israel and the Jewish people, continuing to operate their genocidal terror armies on Jewish lands with that Leftist controlled government's permission.

If the Arabs don't like living in the Jewish state they should stop bitching and go back to their homelands; all 23 of them, and get out of ours. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out

Is it wrong to say Israel is "Jewish and democratic"?

Is it wrong to say that Israel is Jewish and democratic? I think it is.

The cadre of Jews who assumed control of establishing the political systems, before and after the revival of the independent Jewish nation, was made up of assimilationist, socialist utopians, who stupidly believed that if they acted and looked like Europeans, the world would accept them, and not want to make them go up chimneys. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now. But we are currently watching as Bibi and Barak continue to work as hard as they can to erase Jewishness from the Jewish state. It's pathetic.

The law concerning true Jewish governance makes no room for non-Jews, and certainly makes no room for members of that government to support institutions that call for the destruction of Israel, as many Arab MKs do (and openly support the PLO). Only an idiot leftist Israeli could consider this okay.

The reality is that for Israel to exist as a Jewish state, it must cease to be a pluralistic society operating with western styled democracy (which even the most naive among us know is not democratic, in light of what happened in 2000, 2004, and 2008, and happened in 2009 when Bibi abused the legal system to push Moshe Feiglin out of the Knesset after he had been elected to serve there by the voters).

If Israel is to be a Jewish state then it should have Jewish law as its basis. It should embrace Israel's unique relationship with G-d, and should grant non-Jews resident alien status according to our law (which is far freer than the dhimmi status Jews had in Muslim countries),can exercise civil liberties, but cannot vote or hold public office. This is a notion that the west calls racist, a notion that they cannot understand.

Frankly, Israel does not exist so it can win popularity contests. It exists so that the Jewish people can control our national destiny, live in security, and accomplish our role that we have to play on this planet in accordance with the laws of our people. As Rav Meir Kahane (may G-d avenge his blood) said often; I would rather have a strong Israel that the world hates, than an Auschwitz the world loves.

The reality is that our nation was never a democracy. We had a Sanhedrin that arbitrated disputes and legal questions in accordance to our law. Unfortunately, more and more rabbis in Israel are showing their loyalty is not to G-d, but to the state.

We have a long way to go before Israel can truly say it's Jewish. And when it does become truly Jewish, it will not be democratic, at least not in the Western sense of the word. And that's okay, even if the world says it's not.

Israel is not committing acts of genocide against non-Jews. Israel is not gunning down opposition protesters in the streets. China commits genocide. Sudan commits genocide. Iran, China, and Myanmar kill their protesters in plain view. And yet, the international bodies of the world do not condemn them. They take no action against them. They allow these regimes to acquire nuclear weapons, round up minorities and execute them, or call for the outright destruction of another nation as Iran does with Israel.

Israel does none of those things, though you would never know that from the lies told by Arab propagandists, and their idiotic, western liberal sycophants, or from the condemnation of the UNHRC that seems to exist for the sole purpose of maligning Israel, while ignoring the gross abuses of the very nations that comprise it. Israel is banned from serving in the UN Security Council, but Syria is not. As a Jew, I could not possibly care less what the world thinks of Israel. The world has shed enough of our blood. As far as I'm concerned, the world can take its notions of racism and democracy and shove them up their hypocritical, lying, genocidal, racist asses.
