The fact that this report was issued just days after Bibi met Barry tells me one thing: the White House is shitting its pants. Barry knows that Bibi is going to move against Iran. It has to be a matter of months now. Arab pressure to move against Iran is mounting. Providing this funding may be seen as a release of the pressure valve at Pimple Central.
While I certainly appreciate this change, I do not see this as something that will dissuade Bibi from bombing. Having missile defenses does not protect Tel Aviv, London, Paris, New York, or anywhere else from a suitcase, dirty bomb, etc., all of which Iran can deploy via Hezbollah. A problem we may soon be facing with Pakistan if it falls to the Taliban in the face of Barry's international impotence. And the fact is that Arrow 3 in an undeveloped system. It is of no immediate use to Israel.
Later in the year, the Israeli Air Force will be hosting a massive missile defense exercise with the United States where the Arrow and the USA's THAAD and Aegis systems will be tested. Somewhere in Washington someone seems to have enough sense to know that casting Israel to the wind is not a smart idea, or perhaps Barry is getting an on the fly lesson in the practical realities of Jihadism. Though more than likely he is motivated purely by wanting to be reelected.
Whatever the thinking here, or whatever the source, the Resident made his feelings known when he attempted to blackmail Israel into accepting a Palestinian state in exchange for American protection, and when he attempted to create the Syrian/Turkish/Lebanese Troika to take on Israel from the north.
All of this (leader points to the matza and bitter herb) is being complicated by the fact that Iran has deployed ships in the Persian Gulf to Aden. Iran has threatened to close the Straights of Hormuz if it is attacked because of its nuclear program. The effect on world markets is obvious and requires no explanation here. A leader of the free world would see a hostile Middle Eastern power acquiring nuclear weapons, moving to block the flow of oil, and threatening to destroy a sovereign nation, and act. Funding a missile defense system is not acting. It's the right thing to do, but it's not leading. It's back-peddling in the face of one's own stupidity.
And oh how the left are going to be disappointed to see America still working with Israel rather than facilitating her rapid destruction (holocaust) at the hands of her enemies (holocaust) and friends (holocaust).
Subliminal holocaust manipulation brought to you by Mrs. Titlebaum's Magnificent Matzaball Mix. You can't make matzoballs without mentioning the Holocaust.
In other news, tomorrow rising Likud star Tzipi Hotovely will be hosting a debate on alternatives to the "two-state solution." I suppose that there is a segment of the Israeli body politic that is finally coming to terms with the fact that the Palestinian Authority and Hamas will remain eternally opposed to the existence of Israel. Since the current situation is so intolerable that Israel was willing to build a massive security barrier it makes sense to finally try to figure out, and present an alternative, to the world community.
Hotovley told the Jerusalem Post:
"We are in a situation where Obama is presenting a diplomatic plan when it is clear to everyone that the two-state solution failed. Israel must have a deep debate and present an alternative, so the world will know that the two-state solution is not inevitable."
What such an alternative would look like I have no idea, and I suppose that if it doesn't involve Israel committing suicide the world won't like it. I think you know what I say to that.
Oh, and guess what else went right down the crapper over the weekend? A reader of a post of mine at TD Blog, emcrouchon, sent word that the Arab League has rejected the Obama/Abdullah Pan Arab Peace with Israel fiasco. What a fucking surprise.
Congratulations Pimple, you win the Jimmy Carter Prize for Most Impotent Foreign Policy. High Five!

Lead? What the Frak is that? If the world hadn't turned into such an all or nothing situation with lunatics running every third world dictatorship, I wouldn't give a flying rat's behind that this idiot child is such a dolt....but we have Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Bolivia...etc.
thanks for lifting my spirits and calling it once again!
I never thought I'd see the day when a Democrat who is worse than Carter would be elected.
Obama has no clue as to what he's doing and he thinks that whatever goes wrong with his foreign policy could be blamed on Hillary. He'll throw her under the bus, even though she is "serving at the pleasure of her President."
We went from looking like the overhanded strong arm bully to the pencil necked geek. The truth is that both Shrub and now Pajama's administration are weak. Shrub was powerless to stop North Korea, dropped the ball on Afghanistan, and tried to sell Israel out to Hamas. For all his administration's bluster on Iran, nothing was done about their nuclear program as nothing short of military operations is going to stop them.
Pajama is worse though. Their flipflopping and floundering, apologizing and appeasing is making it clear to the world that our enemies can act at will.
Remember when Biden said Pajama was going to be tested by a crisis? There is no need for a test. He's already a failure. North Korea is launching missiles and testing nuclear bombs at will. He wants to outsource the problem to the UN or China or Russia. His appeasement of Iran is leaving our allies pissing in the wind and our enemies clamoring for nuclear weapons of their own.
The worst part is that even if he could be removed from office for gross incompetence we'd still be stuck with Biden who's about as useful as a wooden nickel...wait...you can use a wooden nickel to balance an uneven table. I stand corrected. Biden is less useful than a wooden nickel.
We're so fucked.
