We should work on that.

I would contend that this anti-Jewishness that we are seeing is not on the rise because of what is happening in Gaza, as some at No Quarter and elsewhere are suggesting as a method of saying that Israel is causing it and thus, in their minds, legitimating it. It has always been there. The blood libel story of how Jews kill gentile children to make matzah has been told unabated in Europe, Russia, and the Arab world. Anti-Jewish incidents in France, England (the mayor of London is an unabashed Jew hater), and in America always happen. It's only now with the Leftists taking to the streets in mass numbers, and the ever growing Arab population in Europe, that people can come out and openly express it.

And people wonder why Jews are so insistent on having a homeland, a safe place to go when the nations they live in rise up against them. If the world stopped its baseless hatred against the Jewish people, Israel would not be a necessity. People blame "Zionists." The Zionist movement began in response to blatant French anti-Jewish policy.

It is astounding to me, though not surprising, that people who consider themselves so enlightened run to join the Jew bashing. It seems it's as fashionable as misogyny.Shtueyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05611947223509549389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764151925164944873.post-6736857313302570822009-01-15T14:58:00.000-05:002009-01-15T14:58:00.000-05:00As your previous bloggers pointed out, antisemitis...As your previous bloggers pointed out, antisemitism is on the rise and it's happening all over the world. I heard that it is also happening in France. They have a large Muslim population in France who aren't opposed to rioting. The French police have already proved that they cannot deal with this type of situation, they aren't equipped to do so. They just sit back and wait for it to stop.

I haven't heard of anything like that happening in our area, but I'm not surprised because when it does, it's kept very quiet. In our own neighborhood, about a year ago, I noticed a swastika that was painted on the street in front of a home. The next day, it was painted over by the police and nothing was written about it in the paper. Nothing.Mary Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07835150057881066641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764151925164944873.post-20628950712908258742009-01-15T05:16:00.000-05:002009-01-15T05:16:00.000-05:00I wish there was an international force that could...I wish there was an international force that could be trusted. In the mean time, the anti Israeli hostility causes antisemitism in the UK

"rise in the number of anti-Semitic incidents, especially when compared with what is usually a very quiet time of year for racist, anti-Jewish attacks.

'It is a pattern with which we and police are now sadly familiar, whereby hysteria is whipped up against Israel: and British Jews then suffer a wave of anti-Semitism.'

The arson attack on the synagogue in Brondesbury took place on Sunday night. The arsonists first tried to smash open a window but failed because of the toughened glass in place to protect such buildings from terrorist attacks.

Mr Gardner said: 'Having been thwarted they then appear to have attempted to set the front door alight with petrol, causing some damage to the exterior of the premises. Police, CST and fire brigade attended the scene.'
On New Year's Eve, a man was pulled from his car just as he was about to drive off and assaulted by three men whom he described as being of Arab appearance.

The victim did not suffer any serious injury. The same night a gang of youths alarmed locals in Golders Green by trying to enter Jewish shops while chanting anti-Israeli slogans.

Joey Ben-Yoav, manager of nearby Met Su Yan, a kosher Chinese restaurant in Golders Green, said: "It was scary. They were waving flags and shouting. It felt like if we went out they would hit us or something.

'They walked past a few Jews and just shouted 'Jew' at them. They did not look like they were in the mood for making peace.'"

I wonder how the anti israeli 12th Fighting Keyboardists wil react. Will they embrace their inner Antisemite and yell "Death to all jews" like they want to or will they shut up, or claim they didn't realize this is what would happen.soopermousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08266304739028473267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764151925164944873.post-58774139441403913832009-01-14T23:39:00.000-05:002009-01-14T23:39:00.000-05:00coming to your blog is more educational than spend...coming to your blog is more educational than spending endless hours perusing books. your knowledge and ability to put things in perspective with zero bias is truly exceptional.

as for the united nations, that's where i'd go if i wanted some hummus, um, hamas, err, hypocrisy. ding ding.petunia politikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15581953613767248019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764151925164944873.post-23634864750876105632009-01-14T19:43:00.000-05:002009-01-14T19:43:00.000-05:00Soopermouse, the only problem with the UN, aside f...Soopermouse, the only problem with the UN, aside from the fact that it is an Arab boys club, is that it as corrupt, if not more so, than the Israeli and Palestinian players. UNRWA is the organization that operates the Hamas schools in Gaza, and supplies the text books laden with anti-Israel propaganda, which they know about. The UN also supplied the monitors in Lebanon that did nothing while Syria smuggled in weapons to Hezbullah. No, the UN controlling anything in the region would be an unmitigated disaster. But I understand the principle behind your idea, and it is a good one.

I think a better party to assume control in the territories and East Jerusalem, would be the Tibetan government in exile under the Dalai Lama.
