It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

A Halacha For The New Year

This Halachic ruling was issued by members of the Rabbinic Congress for Peace concerning the handing over of any part of Eretz Yisrael to the enemies of the Jewish people. The State of Israel is retroactively in violation with the surrendering of Gush Katif, and the people have been paying the price since 2005 with their lives, limbs, property, and sanity.

As we move into a New Year Am Yisrael needs to take a long hard look at its priorities, and come to grips with where we are headed, and what we want this year to be about. The world is attempting to define the terms of justice and peace for us. If history as taught us anything that definition means Jews die.

As the year turns we stand before the only Judge that matters to the Jewish people. This is a year to stand up to false gods and prophets who love adulation more than law; who worship self-agrandizement above the needs of others; a year to return to who we really are, and define peace as the place where we live, not where we die.

Shana tovah, k'tivah v'chativah tovah!

Happy New Year, Shtuey! I have been very busy lately with major life changes- this will be an interesting one coming up, won't it? My father taught me to beware of the evil eye, lest it snatch up what pride lends it vulnerability. Marack's arrogance is a major temptation to such a phenomenon. (sorry to digress!)

5770 is going to be one helluva year. Those who curse Israel...well...let's just say I think some folks are going to be feeling a cosmic boot in the ass.
