How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Weekend Update: Hamas Plays Soccer, Abbas Reelected, Fatah Wants All of Jerusalem, and OMV Endorses Two States for Two Peoples

Genocidal Jew hater, and "Prime Minister"...Prime Moron you mean...Ismael Haniyeh joined other Hamas terrorists in a friendly game of soccer with "former Palestinian soccer players." I'm not sure whether this means they are former soccer players, former Palestinians, or both.

Anyway, when the Gaza soccer stadium was reopened, following renovations from damage caused by Ehud Olmert's Operation Not Going to Finish the Job this past winter, the terrorists thought it would be a hoot to play some soccer. I suppose this is meant to soften their image as islamofascist, genocidal jihadists that have brought a whole lot of misery to Gaza, and not much else.
Go Thunderthighs! Ismael Haniyeh feels the earth move under his feet.

For his part, Haniyeh decided to dress moderately, wearing long warm-up pants. Let's be honest. His choice of attire has nothing to do with religious modesty, and all to do with the fact that he doesn't want anyone seeing his fat, flabby thighs. He reserved that privilege for Khaled Mashaal, and Mahmoud Abbas, when they let their man boobs hang out on the haj to Mecca.

Terrorist boobs ain't sexy.

Personally, I think it would have been more in keeping with Hamas ideology to have played kick the landmine instead.

In other exciting genocidal Arab news, Mahmoud Abbas was unanimously reelected as the leader of Fatah, not a very impressive feat considering he was the only person on the ballot. He has of course reiterated Fatah's call to annihilate ("liberate") the Jewish state ("Palestinian lands"). And of course make Jerusalem the capital of "Palestine." How very original. He also forgave PLO number two Farouk Kaddoumi for accusing him of plotting to kill Yassir Arafat. I suppose that as a gesture cementing this forgiveness Mr. Kadoummi might be found in alley with a hole in the back of his head...but perhaps this is a kinder and gentler PLO. Abbas certainly seems to think so. He said:

"Although we have chosen peace, we maintain the right to launch an armed resistance, which is legitimate as far as international law is concerned."

Just so we're clear, peace means destroying Israel and seizing Jerusalem. That being the case, what does resistance look like? And I can understand Abu in a suit's confusion regarding what is legal under international law. A number of "human (not Jews) rights" organizations have made various attempts to pretend that Abbas and his pals have not been intentionally trying to blow up Israeli children and their parents in buses, markets, and restaurants, failing to condemn Fatah and PLO for these actions. But I hate to inform Abu in a suit...intentionally blowing up civilians is a war crime, and you are extraordinarily guilty. Conversely, inadvertently killing civilians that have been herded into buildings where you store your weapons is not a war crime committed by the party that targeted those areas. It is in fact a crime committed by the parties that put the civilians and the weapons there in the first place. Again, Abu is guilty, along with Ismael "Thunder Thighs Haniyeh, and the rest of the douchebags at Pally Terror Central.

And just to make things even more stupid, the idiots at Fatah have decided to make a new demand before "negotiations" resume. First they wanted the settlement freeze. Then they wanted all Palestinian prisoners freed. Now they want all of Jerusalem...east and west as a precondition to resuming talks. Congratulations Resident Nobama, your wish is coming true. You have enabled the terrorists to rise to their ultimate level of racism and genocidal hysteria.

According to an Israel Radio report:

a document adopted by the Fatah delegates of the assembly declared that Palestinians would "continue to be sacrificed until residents of Jerusalem are free of settlements and settlers." The document went on to state that all of Jerusalem, including the surrounding villages, belonged to the Palestinians, and lands conquered following the Six Day War shared the same status as those located within the Green Line.

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz blasted the statement Saturday, saying that the declaration was a clear message to all those who maintained the "illusion that the Palestinians were prepared for compromise," Israel Radio reported.

Israel should take legal steps in response to the decree, Israel Radio quoted the minister as saying. According to the report, he urged the government to expand the municipal authority of Jerusalem to include Ma'aleh Adumim, Givat Ze'ev, Gush Etzion, and Beitar. In addition, Katz encouraged further construction in surrounding neighborhoods so as to increase Jewish presence in the city.

It would be foolish to Israeli leaders to not prepare for a siege of the city. And I agree with Minister Katz. It is time to expand the Jerusalem Municipal Authority now, and not only reject America's call for a construction freeze, but to double the efforts. It is also time for Israel to reject American financial aid.

It is becoming increasingly obvious to this blogger that it is about time that Jordan be rid of its oppressive and fake Hashemite regime so that it can be the "Palestinian" state it was meant to be. The Arabs of Judea and Samaria can then choose whether they wish to live peacefully in the states of Judea and Samaria or move to the Palestinian state on the other side of the Jordan River. Terrorists would be deported without choice. Refugees would be settled in Jordan.

All of this could have been avoided 61 years ago if the Arabs had chosen coexistence instead of genocide. Every opportunity they have had to embrace coexistence they have rejected. The Arabs of Judea and Samaria pay the price, as do Israelis who have buried more than their share of their sons, daughters, babies, husbands, wives, grandparents and friends.

In her latest column, Caroline Glick illustrates the mentality that has dominated Israeli politics since the days of Oslo; that the best way for Israel to advance American interests is to be a weak strategic asset. This has been a miserable failure which led to the legitimization of Fatah as something other than a genocidal terrorist organization by George Bush I, Bill Clinton, George Bush II, and of course Marack Blowbama, who actually wants Israel destroyed. It has lead to withdraws from land that have only brought more violence and death to Israelis. In light of Fatah's conference, and Marack's appeasement of Iran, and his further legitimizing of the terrorists, Glick feels, as do I, that the time has come for Israel to assert herself again. And it seems that politicians like Yisrael Katz agree.

Glick writes:

TODAY, WITH Iran on the cusp of a nuclear arsenal, Fatah openly calling for a renewal of the Palestinian jihad against Israel, Hizbullah pointing its expanded missile arsenal at Tel Aviv and Dimona, and the Obama administration, with the help of an ever-expanding chorus of foreign policy "realists," advocating full-blown appeasement of both Iran and the Palestinians at Israel's expense, it is clear that the time has come for Israel to end the Arabist charade. The time has come for Israel to stop being an engine of its own demise.

The Netanyahu government has a clear choice before it. On the one hand, it has Defense Minister Ehud Barak calling for business as usual. This week Barak recommended that Israel preemptively surrender to the Obama administration and accept its demand that Israel capitulate to Fatah. On the other hand, Ministers Yuli Edelstein and Yisrael Katz pointed out that at its leadership conclave in Bethlehem, Fatah exposed itself as an implacable enemy of Israel. Both Edelstein and Katz demanded that the government stop pretending Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas is a moderate who is interested in peace and expose him for the fraud that he is.

Edelstein and Katz are right. It is vital for Israel to stop catering its foreign policy rhetoric to the preferences of its Arabist camp. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu must courageously acknowledge that Fatah remains a terrorist organization dedicated to Israel's violent demise.

Glick then goes on to assert that striking Iran is an urgent necessity, not only to prevent Iran from destroying Israel, an intention that has been made clear in words and deeds, including the development of ballistic missiles capable of striking Israel, the arming Hezbollah and Hamas, and helping those groups coordinate attacks on Jewish targets in and outside Israel, but to bring stability to the region by stemming an arms race that Marack has no intention of stopping, and demonstrating that Israel is a strategic asset that cannot be ignored:
But more important than harsh words about Fatah are actions against Iran. With a growing international consensus that Teheran has passed the point of no return on its nuclear program and will produce nuclear bombs in the next six to 12 months if left to its own devices, it is clear that as far as Iran is concerned, words are of no value today. Only actions count.

Israel's willingness and capacity to effectively strike Iran's nuclear installations will be the ultimate proof that Arabists like Kaplan are wrong to castigate Israel as a strategic burden. By freeing itself, the region and the world from the threat of a nuclear armed Iran, Israel will strike a blow not only at Iran's ability to wipe it off the map, but at the threefold contentions of the false realists.

An Israeli strike would prevent a regional nuclear arms race by freeing Arab states of the need to develop their own nuclear arsenals and so prove that a strong Israel enhances regional stability. An Israeli strike will rebuild Israel's eroded deterrent posture and put paid to the notion that Israel is no longer a military power to be reckoned with. And the destruction of Iran's nuclear capacity will weaken its military posture throughout the region and so weaken its terror proxies from Iraq to Lebanon to Gaza to Afghanistan.

In short, a successful Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear installations will demonstrate to real rather than fake realists that a strong Israel is indispensable to regional stability and international security.

Fatah has just voted to maintain the Al Aqsa Martyrs terrorist brigades. The above reference to "sacrificing" Palestinians means we can expect more homicide bombings. It means that while the world pressures Israel to embrace the Highway to Hell Map, the Arabs will continue strapping bombs to themselves so they can try and kill more Jewish children. Coexistence is not in the plan.

The time to break Fatah and Hamas is now. The time to fully assert Israeli control over ALL of Jerusalem is now. The time to strike Iran and save the region and American interests from their own stupidity is now. The time to build in Judea and Samaria and assert full Jewish sovereignty over the lands between the Mediterranean and Jordan River is now. Those that wish to live in peace and coexistence with the Jewish people are more than welcome. Those that do not I don't expect you to stop hating us. The world has hated us for most of time. I won't ask you to stop, though it would be nice. Old habits die hard. If you hate us, don't live with us. A Palestinian state was created on the west side of the Jordan River. It's about time you took it back.

Two states for two peoples. I support it. Israel from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River. Palestine in Jordan, which really is Palestine. That is the solution. Now that Fatah claims ALL of Jerusalem, there is no other solution. Bibi must reject the settlement freeze, move forward on absorbing the neighborhoods around Jerusalem into the Municipal Authority, resume construction in all Jewish communities, and strike Iran sooner rather than later.

And to Am Yisrael in Galut I say this: it's time to start heading home.

Obama may be a blessing in disguise for Israel, if it makes the nation assert itself like you said. The usual stance of deferring to the US is not an option anymore, at least not an option that would lead to security.

Obama will not bomb Iran. That is for sure. Although I believe it is probably the best thing to do, I fear for how the media will spin that here. The level of education on the situation Israel is in is very low already, and a preemptive strike will be shown as Israel being the aggressor, even though in reality it is saving itself from at best, intimidation and at worst, annihilation. Israel has to be willing to go it alone. I hope Glick is right and the event brings greater stability to the region.

You're absolutely right, Mawm. Israel is going to have to go it alone. The last thing Israel needs to be concerned with is perception. The world community sees her as a pariah. But the truth is that regardless of what anyone says, the Saudis and the rest of the Sunni Arab world are going to be VERY happy about it. They will most likely condemn the attack publicly, but like the Osirak bombing, they will be sending their thank yous through private channels. It's already been hinted that the Saudis will allow Israel to use their airspace.

It will be very easy for Washington to blame Israel for any after effects of an attack on Iran, but the United States was setting this up while Bush was in office. They wanted Israel to do the dirty work for them. Who would have thought America would elect a president who is okay with a nuclear Iran? Of course, after two terms of Shrub and Marack getting elected, 1 in 3 Americans are so stupid that they probably spend several minutes trying to figure out where the "on" button is on their hammer before they use it.

If I could make aliyah to Israel tomorrow I'd be gone. This place is going to hell faster than a greased pig on a railing.

Pretty unbelievable...if it wasn't the Middle East. I mean honest-to-God, the things these people say and get away with it. Great blog and I love your Israeli "don't tread on me" flag.

Well, they can get away with that crap because the world loves a Jew hater, and hates Jews. The big question is when is Israel going to demand someone grow beitzim and wipe out Fatah once and for all?

BTW Ron, I got that flag from Vicious Babushka's blog. It's on my blogroll, and I'm adding yours. Great stuff.
