It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

The Pajama Game Responds

The Marack Pajama response to Bibi's speech is exactly what I figured it would be: nothing.

Robert "Ask Me No More Questions, I'll Tell You No More Lies" Gibbs gave the following statement:

"The President welcomes the important step forward in Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech.

"The President is committed to two states, a Jewish state of Israel and an independent Palestine, in the historic homeland of both peoples. He believes this solution can and must ensure both Israel's security and the fulfillment of the Palestinians' legitimate aspirations for a viable state, and he welcomes Prime Minister Netanyahu's endorsement of that goal.

"The President will continue working with all parties - Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Arab states, and our Quartet partners - to see that they fulfill their obligations and responsibilities necessary to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a comprehensive regional peace."

He just keeps chugging along...the little engine that can't.

There is one notable difference, and it is an important one, even if it is lip service. For the first time, that I have seen, the Pajama Game has referred to Israel as a Jewish state. How very noble.

Since when was Israel the traditional homeland of the Palestinians? Most of them came from Jordan in recent decades. Obama is trying to refute the history of Judea and Samaria.

He has to say that because of the Cairo speech. He's already rewriting history again by admitting that Israel is the historic homeland of our people. The Arabs can't be too excited about that, if they've noticed yet. Accepting the rest of the story might be too much for his microprocessor to handle all at once, and would fully undo the love potion he sprinkled on the Arabs.

Bobo is so scared, he doesn't know what to do. He is a coward ,and always has been .

I think Bibi is taking the long view , and anticipating bobo out office in one term . Bibi in his wisdom is planning on outliving and outlasting this fool .

Thank you so much for printing the transcript of Bibi's wonderfully intelligent, realistic, and inspiring speech. I was on the road visiting my 6 ft, 1 in. baby boy today and tried all I could to find the speech live, to no avail. I fear the third intifada for all of the sadness and horror it may bring, what a stupid and pointless choice. I do hope that it will be clear to all who the aggressor will be in such a terrible situation. I hope the double talk and stupidity will end from the media and our disgusting administration. One can always hope.

It seems every peace effort results in violence. Why bother?

lililam; Bibi spoke for the living, and our dead. Unfortunately, having a man in office who only sees history as something he is making, there will be no morality, no compassion, or support from the WH that is not politically expedient for him.

Thanks for the articles Ron. It's about time people started waking up. I fear very much for the students in Iran. I'm afraid the WH will be silent like Bush I whose inaction led to the massacre at Tiennamen Square. He only values his own life.

dan: we don't care. If you are renouncing your identity because jewish students are standing up for the survival of their country, you are something I don't want in my nation. You chose to be american before being jewish. Just make sure you buy some lube so it hurts less when Obama screws you in teh ass, toghether with the rest of the world.

fact is that you have been reposting the same comment here on various threads and a my blog- that makes you an attention whore.
I would care about their racist language abotu Obama if he would have cared about the offensive and racist lnguage used by his friends and associates about my people. e didn't. On he contrary- nobody associates with antisemites for so long if they aren't themselves one.

You are grasping a straws and hunting for attention, and quite frankly I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.

Why would I blog about your defeatist and moronic attitude? I dont care about any attention whore's self centered bullshit. You are not seeing the forest because of one tree and have the audacity to spam us ( me and shtuey that i know of, possibly more) Fuck off

Wow, we haven't had a concern troll at OMV in a long time. Renouncing one's Judaism because of what a group of young Jewish people shouted at a protest...that's about as unJewish as you can get.

If you're going to get angry about how people express themselves you're really talking about renouncing life. People say things that I don't agree with on a regular basis. Jews do things I don't agree with. The kind of language used by those protesters is something I don't agree with, but I'm not going to do something as pathetic, self-absorbed, and utterly pointless as to "renounce my judaism."

A Jew would engage his people, not run. And I have news for you, if you consider this a means of disassociating yourself from the protesters so people won't think you're racist then you have no spine. And you might consider this: those bent on exterminating the Jews, like Hamas and Fatah, would toss you in the pit. It's your blood, man.

Blog on this? You bet your ass I will.

To Danny:

Dan, if you want to renounce your religion, fine. All sorts of people renounce their religion over some issue or another so that's of no concern. What is of concern is your reason. A few young drunken racist pigs? You'll find that drunken racist pigs come in all colors, all religions, all over the globe.

A few questions:
Do those kids represent all Israelis? No!
Do they represent all Jews? Hell no!
Are they representative of Jewish teachings? Nope.
Does Judaism presuppose anyone to be racist? No!

Dan, I gotta tell ya, labeling a religion comprising about 14,000,000 people based on the actions of a few is just about as racist and anti-Semitic as it gets.

I'm a 61 year old cultural Jew, a bacon-eating atheist. I love bagels and lox and celebrate Jewish holidays but I don't go to temple. I'm a liberal Democrat who voted for John McCain after meeting with him and discussing the issues. I've been fighting for civil rights, human rights, women's rights since the early 1960s. I'm also a Vietnam vet who protested the war. I was a victim of anti-Semitism in my childhood starting before I even knew I was Jewish and have been fighting against anti-Semitism nearly all my life.

I'm very pro-Israel and I fear for how president Obama is treating that tiny democracy.

By all means, condemn anyone who makes racist remarks but renouncing your religion on the basis of a few foul-mouthed Jews is just plain nuts.

Hi, I'm calling myself dan. I am a paid troll shill helping out a campaign to make American Jews look like racists. I am pretending to be a 60 year old man who uses the word "yuck" to describe drunken Yeshiva buchers. But I'm not even Jewish, just another Axelrove paid baby. He says that if I'm extra good I can get Jonas Brothers tickets instead of having to eat my own poop.

I love having my comments deleted and hope the blog owner publishes my IP address.
