It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

The Suu Kyi Fiasco Continues, and Finally Hillary Speaks Out

In the latest twist in the ongoing ordeal of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, she has been put on trial in a kangaroo court for harboring 53 year old John Yettaw, who swam across a lake to see her. It is obvious to anyone who has been following the Suu Kyi case that this is simply a pretext to keep her imprisoned in the shadow of yet another deadline for her release. But this time she will most likely be put in prison. Already being detained in Insein Prison, I suspect that if found guilty of violating the terms of her house arrest she will be kept there, and I fear will die there from a "fall down the stairs," "suicide," or other such lie.

Having been detained against her will for 13 out of the last 19 years, 3 Presidents now have presided while she rots, the interred rightful leader of Burma, elected by the people, but kept out of power by the military junta that has ruled there since 1962. None of these Presidents have done anything of substance to free her, or eject the junta from power. Why? Because the United States is too busy kissing China's ass, a position reinforced by President HopeNChange who has skyrocketed our debt with his crapulus and budget, and thus increased our dependence on being on their buddy list.

I have impatiently been waiting for Secretary of State Clinton to make any kind of statement regarding Suu Kyi's continued illegal imprisonment. She finally decided to pipe up this past month with a lot of useless gestures like trying to speak to the Secretary General of the UN, a useless and impotent organization that only seeks to exert any authority when it comes to condemning Israel, call on the ASEAN group, of which China is a member, and talk nice to China itself. China, speaking as a member of ASEAN has already said it would not interfere with the junta's actions. Defense Secretary Gates has also pushed Myanmar to free Suu Kyi and engage in a dialogue with the democratic opposition. I think I hear the sound of snickering.

It's a little hard to pressure the principle power broker in the region when we are China's vassal and they our feudal lord. Why should the US government say anything at this point? We only look more impotent, so far the great international accomplishment of the Pajama administration.

To their credit, an increasing number of ASEAN MPs are speaking out in support of Suu Kyi, and there appears to be a growing movement to suspend Burma's membership in the organization if Suu Kyi is found guilty and not released.

While our government looks like a whining hypocrite over this issue, more so now with this "prolonged detention" nonsense being put forward, it is vital that we continue to speak out and shame the government of the United States. For years now our government has made us more and more the slave of the Peoples' Republic. Secretary Clinton's words need to be said, but in light of the fact that she went to China to kiss their ass rather than speak out about Darfur, Burma, and Tibet, those words don't mean much. Suu Kyi, barring a miracle, will most likely continue to rot, and this time may disappear from view entirely, and forever.

So part of Hope and Change must be making ourselves more dependent on China so that we have absolutely no leverage whatsoever regarding China's human rights abuses. But let's lean on Israel to force them to accept the legitimization of an abusive terror regime bent on Israeli genocide. This is not hope. It is change however...for the worse.

Shame is an important tool in defeating the Obama regime. Here is one way to shame him and his junta. Join the Arrest Yourself 2009 campaign, a global action in support of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Participants are asked to place themselves under a self imposed house arrest for 24 hours between now and Suu Kyi's birthday on June 19th. I will be incarcerating myself for 48-72 hours.

Take this campaign to the next logical step. Send an email, snail mail, and fax to the White House, tell them you are participating in this campaign, and that it is shameful that as President of the United States Obama is responsible for increasing our slavery to China, thus making it impossible for us to substantively aid Suu Kyi and the people of Burma, who themselves are under collective arrest by a brutal junta that China invests in and supports. It is shameful that while his administration has made itself impotent on this issue, he pressures a democracy to accept the creation of terror state that does not even acknowledge Israel's right to exist. He is a hypocrite and liar and it's about time he started hearing it.

Place yourself under house arrest. Encourage your friends to do so as well. Blog on it. Contact the White House and shame them. And do not stop until the Fraud is out of the White House.

If you would like to support one American's campaign for Burma, under the auspices of the U.S. Campaign for Burma, go here.

Thich Nhat Hanh tells us that only a collective awakening can produce change. It is time to awaken the American people not only to what is happening in Burma, but that the actions of the Obama administration make our nation complicit in the continued oppression of the Burmese people. He is not for democracy. He is not for freedom. He, like our Presidents before him, is committed to continuing to keep us a vassal of China. He has sealed our dependence on the PROC for the very survival of our economy, and thus has bound and gagged us from having any leverage with the Chinese government to end their funding of of the Somali and Myanmar regimes, as well as ending their destruction of Tibet, a nation that poses no threat to China's existence, and has committed itself to a partnership with China in order to preserve the Tibetan way of life. When Obama speaks of human rights issues he is a hypocrite and a liar, as he is on virtually any other issue he chooses to recite off his teleprompter.

Maybe it is best for Hillary to just shut her mouth. The fraudulent administration for some reason thinks the UN is the be all and end all to everything when all evidence says differently.

As the years go by and we get one despot President after another, I wonder how our government is any different than those we claim to be communist? It seems that torture is now accepted and the Geneva Conventions mean nothing. We allow the capture or kidnapping of innocent people to be "Rendered" to other country's for to be tortured and imprisoned (with no evidence that they are guilty of anything). And now we have "prolonged detention".

Anything that our government says to China or any other country in rebuke toward their treatment of their citizens just shows how hypocritical our government is. Who can take us seriously? Do as I say, not as I do???

I'm so disappointed in Hillary, this is not the Hillary that I voted for in the Primary...or is it?

It's disappointing that Hillary is so busy being the good soldier. I cannot abide the excuses being made for her; she's doing what she has to, she's waiting for him to fail so she can pick up the pieces. The world doesn't have time to wait. Enabling the Fraud, regardless of the reason for it, is emboldening our enemies, hurting our friends, and endangering the security and prosperity not only of Americans, but people around the world.

In the end it is our actions, not our motives, by which we are judged.

kj, I've featured your post at City Tavern.
