The Iranian Nuke Question: Bibi: 1, Barry: Naught

Nunly, I hope you don't mind that I bogarted this picture from your blog.

As promised, here is my analysis as to how the Resident got his nuts handed to him on Iran. Much ado was made about the fact that Little Lord Fraudleroy refused to commit to a timetable for negotiations with Iran to bear fruit in the form of a cessation of its nuclear program before a stronger (military) option was taken. He must think that Netanyahu is an idiot. Sorry Barry, you're the one wearing the dunce cap on this one too.

First, the terms for the resumption of negotiations with the PA got laid down by Israel...in your living room. At the same time you were informed that the people to whom the Iranian nukes issue truly matters (Israel and the Sunni Arab states, most notably Saudi Arabia) don't really give a crap about whether you have a timetable or not. Their timetable is the only one that matters. Whether it is Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt...the Arabs don't want Iran to get the bomb, and stand with Israel on this issue far more firmly than you, or anyone in your administration seems to want to comprehend.

Once again Mr. Resident let me spell it out for you. While you were grinning away like the mouse that stole the cheese, the Israeli Prime Minister said this:
"...the worst danger we face is that Iran would develop nuclear military capabilities. Iran openly calls for our destruction, which is unacceptable (inaudible). It threatens the moderate Arab regimes in the Middle East. It threatens US interests worldwide.

But if Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, it could give a nuclear umbrella (ph) to terrorists or worse could actually give (inaudible) nuclear weapons. And that would put us all in great peril."

That's right Pampers. While you and your anti-Israel cabal have been spinning a web of lies that Israel is the reason Iran wants nukes, and that you are having trouble getting the Iranians to play ball because there is no Palestinian state, the Arabs are asking, "What the fuck are you talking about? This has nothing to do with Palestinians. Don't let Iran get nukes you dummy!"

But the piece of resistance is that Bibi made it very clear that if Iran should get the bomb while Pampers sits on his dumb ass and has his namby pamby pat-a-cake session with Iran, the potentially changed face of terrorism, and the destabilization of world security will all be Barry's fault.

Priceless.

I wonder if Barry is going to score any points with the Sunnis if Iran threatens the guardians of Mecca and Medina with nukes? Nope, I guess not.

If find it highly ironic that the very people that Barry wanted to line up against Israel are the ones rallying to her side in order to halt Iran's nuclear program. Once again the American President fails to grasp even the most basic realities of politics and survival in the Middle East.

Who's the leader of the free world? It ain't the Resident of the United States. Bibi walked away with Barry's sack in his jacket pocket. The United States was completely helpless in stopping North Korea from getting the bomb. The Iranians know full well that Barry isn't going to do a thing. The fate of this issue does not lie in the hands of the United States. It lies in the hands of Israel and the Arabs.

The responsibility of leading the free world since WWII has belonged to the President of the United States (with Jimmy Carter being the arguable exception). Barry has broken the chain. The Free World is on its own. The United States isn't home. What a pathetic lack of leadership. This fraud couldn't lead us out of a brown paper bag.

After 8 years of that idiot in the White House I can't believe I'm saying this:

Barry Peron Jr. Jr: Worst President ever.

You can boggart anything you want from my blog, kiddo. :-)

Iran answered Barry with a little gift...a missile launch with a range of about 1,200 miles, capable of reaching Israel and U.S. Mideast bases.

Here's the story.

And an excerpt:

The missile is called the Sajjil-2 differs from the Sajjil missile because it "is equipped with a new navigation system as well as precise and sophisticated sensors," according to Iran's official news agency.

Sajjil means "baked clay." It is a reference to a story in the Quran, Islam's holy book, in which birds sent by God drive off an enemy army attacking the holy city of Mecca by pelting them with stones of baked clay.
Don't we all feel safer with Obama at the helm? Sheesh...we're toast, literally.

This is like reliving the impotence of the Carter administration all over again, but instead of Iran holding 66 hostages, the Iranians will be holding billions hostage with the power to evaporate them.

I'm starting to wonder if Pampers is not only anti-Israel but anti-Sunni as well. Or is he so deluded and narcissistic that he thinks he'll just buy the world a Coke and we'll all come together over him?

I'm thinking all of the above.

Elena Bonner speaks on Israel (and Russia)
http://cathyyoung.wordpress.com/2009/05/20/elena-bonner-speaks-on-israel-and-russia/

Excerpt -
They say people are coming together — but in reality, they are growing apart.

And that isn’t because an economic depression suddenly burst forth, and swine flu to boot. This began on September 11, 2001. At first, anger and horror was provoked by the terrorists who knocked down the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and by their accomplices in London, Madrid and other cities, and by the shaheeds, suicide bombers who blew themselves up at public spaces like discotheques and wedding parties whose families were rewarded $25,000 each by Saddam Hussein. Later, Bush was blamed for everything, and as always, the Jews — that is, Israel. An example was the first Durban Conference, and the growth of anti-Semitism in Europe, noted several years ago in a speech by Romano Prodi. Then there was Durban-2; the main speaker was Ahmadinejad proposing to annihilate Israel.

So it is about Israel and the Jews that I will speak. And not only because I am Jewish, but above all because the Middle Eastern conflict since the end of World War II has been a platform for political games and gambling by the great powers, the Arab countries and individual politicians, striving, through the so-called “peace process,” to make a name for themselves, and perhaps win a Nobel Peace Prize. At one time, the Nobel Peace Prize was the highest moral award of our civilization. But after December 1994, when Yasir Arafat became one of the three new laureates, its ethical value was undermined. I haven’t always greeted each selection of the Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Storting with joy, but that one shocked me. And to this day, I cannot understand and accept the fact that Andrei Sakharov and Yasir Arafat, now posthumously, share membership in the club of Nobel laureates.

In many of Sakharov’s publications (in his books Progress, Coexistence and Intellectual Freedom and My Country and the World, in his articles, and in his interviews), Andrei Dmitrievich wrote and spoke about Israel. I have a collection of citations of his writing on this topic. If it were published in Norway, then many Norwegians would be surprised at how sharply their contemporary view of Israel differs from the view of Sakharov.

Here are several citations from Sakharov:

“Israel has an indisputable right to exist.” “Israel has a right to existence within safe borders.” “All the wars that Israel has waged have been just, forced upon it by the irresponsibility of Arab leaders.” “With all the money that has been invested in the problem of Palestinians, it would have been possible long ago to resettle them and provide them with good lives in Arab countries.”

Throughout the years of Israel’s existence there has been war. Victorious wars, and also wars which Israel was not allowed to win. Each and every day — literally every day — there is the expectation of a terrorist act or a new war. We have seen the Oslo Peace Initiatives and the Camp-David Hand-shake and the Road-map and Land for Peace (there is not much land — from one side of Israel on a clear day you can see the other side with the naked eye).

More from Elena Bonner

Now, there is a new (actually, quite old) motif currently in fashion (in fact it’s an old one): “Two states for two peoples.” It sounds good. And there is no controversy in the peace-making Quartet, made up of the U.S., the UN, the EU, and Russia (some great peace-maker, with its Chechen war and its Abkhazian-Ossetian provocation). The Quartet, and the Arab countries, and the Palestinian leaders (both Hamas and Fattah) put additional demands to Israel. I will speak only of one demand: that Israel take back the Palestinian refugees. And here a little history and demography are needed.

According to the official UN definition, those who have fled from violence and wars are considered refugees — but not their descendants who are born in another country. At one time the Palestinian refugees and the Jewish refugees from Arab countries were about equal in number — about 700,000 to 800,000. The newly-created state of Israel took in the Jews (about 600,000). They were officially recognized as refugees by UN Resolution 242, but not provided with any UN assistance. Palestinians, however, are considered refugees not only in the first generation, but in the second, third, and now even in the fourth generation. According to the UN Works and Relief Agency’s report, the number of registered Palestinian refugees has grown from 914,000 in 1950 to more than 4.6 million in 2008, and continues to rise due to natural population growth. All these people have the rights of Palestinian refugees and are eligible to receive humanitarian aid.

The entire population of Israel is about 7.5 million, among them about 2.5 million ethnic Arabs who call themselves Palestinians. Imagine Israel then, if another five million Arabs flood into it; Arabs would substantially outnumber the Jewish population. Thus created next to Israel will be a Palestinian state cleansed of Jews, because in addition to the demand that Palestinian refugees return to Israel, there is also the demand that Judea and Samaria be cleansed of Jews and turned over to Palestinians – while in Gaza today there is not a single Jew remaining.

The result is both strange and frigthening, and not because Israel will be actually destroyed – it’s a different time and different Jews. It is terrifying to see the short memory of the august peace-making Quartet, their leaders and their citizens if they let this happen. Because the plan “two states for two peoples” is the creation of one state, ethnically cleansed of Jews, and a second one with the potential to do the same thing. A Judenfrei Holy Land - the dream of Adolph Hitler come true at last. So think again, those who are still able, who has a fascist inside him today?

The Palestinian leadership doesn't want a state. They like the mafia regime set up just fine. The children are taught in UN funded schools to hate Jews. Israel has no reason to give anything under such circumstances.

Perhaps Jordan fulfilling its original purpose, a Palestinian state, is an idea whose time has come. It is quite clear that the PA and its heirs are dedicated to taking the killing and attempted destruction of israel into the next generation.

You know this , I know this, Bibi knows this , and Bonner and anyone else with half a brain, knows this .
Unfortunately , there are far too many people who are mistaking thinking for using mere fractions of their brains to sheepishly repeat somwething someone else said , because they thought it "sounded good".

Obama is in way over his head in this and he knows it. He's running out of people to throw under that bus and all his incompetence is finally starting to show. He can't fix a problem that he doesn't understand. You can't play "middle of the road" in this situation and if he doesn't start showing absolute support for Israel soon, missiles will be flying and there will be no one to blame but himself for the death of millions of innocent lives.

When I heard about Iran shooting off that missile, it sent chills up my spine. This is going to escalate fast and Obama will be too busy making speeches during prime time TV to notice. Every time Obama reaches out to Iran, he gets it spit on. When is he going to learn?

Mary Ellen , given that he cannot even remember the same speech he gives over and over unless he reads it from teleprompters, and we cannot even get simple college transcripts ....( and you know if they were GOOD they would be on the front page of every bought and paid for media outlet he owns ) < I am guessing he is incapable of "learning"

Swanspirit- Yeah, I wonder why the media doesn't seem as anxious to find out about Obama's college transcripts as they were about Bush's military record? Hmmm....

Shtuey- Yes, I have seen it before, it's one of my very favorites. In fact, I wish they were all at the ballpark with me...lined up with their guns and pointed them at the White Sox dugout. They let the Twinkies beat us, 20-1. They deserve nothing short of a firing squad.
