How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. More Video You Won't See On No Quarter

For those of you not participating in the anti-Israel book burning bloodlust rioting at No Quarter you are missing out on a brave new world of stupid.  I would suggest you go over there and read some of the inane, uninformed bullshit flying from the keyboards of some of the shit eating Leftist Jew haters commenting there, but you probably shouldn't contaminate your computer, or your brain.  I've said for years that having George W. Shrub in the White House dropped the collective IQ of this country by at least 20 points.  At NQ that number is clearly lower.

Here's an example from someone called Landoffuckingstupid (screen named changed to protect the racist)

"But of course the Palestinians–and Arabs in general– are subhuman animals so they never feel any of the things you describe, is that what you’re saying...?

They’ve been thrown off their land, herded into concentration camps, and now the Israelis seem to be hellbent on a Palestinian “final solution.”

But that’s perfectly okay, because somebody did it to them first, and besides, they’re the “Chosen People,” is that it?

Israel is a state founded on terrorism. You reap what you sow…"

Well, for Landofshitforbrains, and the rest of the non-coms in the cannon fodder brigades of the intergalactic invasion forces of Planet Asshat, here's some videos at Nobama's blog that you and the rest of the dingdongs won't see because you're too busy blowing it out your ass.

Thanks for posting that, Shtuey. For a long time, I've been wondering what the heck is with the left as regards Israel. Found this piece that helps explain things a bit:

Israel Matzav: Democrats' antipathy to the Gaza operation?

http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2009/01/democrats-antipathy-to-gaza-operation.html

Latest news is that both Israel and Hamas are defying the UN cease-fire resolution. No problem since it only compels Israel to stop firing when the job is done. The Cairo effort was a flop. I'm sort of surprised by that but sort of relieved. Israel is in Jabalya and Rafah now taking care of business. Lots more tunnels to blow up.

What I'm finding among people I've dealt with on the left is an amazing degree of ignorance. I have to cut them some slack because they're so misled by the MSM. They just lack the curiosity I have to go learn the truth. Maybe some ideology or bias or predilections getting in the way of any desire to learn the truth.

As for me, I'm left of center and still a Dem, though I'll probably switch to Independent soon. The Dem party has become something I can't tolerate anymore.

There is an astounding level of ignorance. I can accept that from run of the mill sheople who do not possess the capacity to think for themselves, which is why we got Shrub for two terms, and now have Pampers headed to the White House. What I will not accept is this level of ignorance and blind following from anyone who spent the year standing up to Obama. There is no excuse for people who learned to find the truth about him, to not be on the quest to seek the truth about what is happening in Gaza, other than their own prejudice.

And thanks for posting those videos. It's important that those calling Israel a Nazi state see what their darlings are up to in Gaza.

Of course it's true that Palestinians were "herded into camps" and largely remain there to this day -- in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.

Comparing the IDF's painstaking efforts to minimize enemy civilian casualties with the Nazi Final Solution is too stupid to argue with. I dropped NQ from my regular reading a long time ago because it was too addicted to nonsense. There are only so many hours in the day to spend reading.

It is true that the Jew haters are too stupid to argue with...however there are a lot of confused people out there and the utter nonsense that is being perpetrated by the loudest of the haters has to be countered, for the benefit of those readers who lurk and want to be informed.

I've noticed that some of the strident dumbazzes have dropped off due to reasoned, factual (supported by links to credible websites) rebuttals to their junk.

so you have your vidoes and the pro-Palesinian camps have theirs. What does it prove? There have been wrongs on both sides. When does it stop? Where does it end? I find it hard to see how "painstaking" efforts can prevent the loss of civilian life when by all accounts the people are packed in like sardines, have no basements to run to and nowhere to hide.

Every one that doesn't side with Israel is not anti-semetic. Stop calling people names and try to see the other side. I've always thought that American Jews are part of the problelm with getting a resolution to the Palestinian/Israeli problem. Your blog proves it.

Oh, it's certainly worth doing. I'm glad there are people like Shtuey who have the patience to dissect this junk. I don't any more.

There have been wrongs on both sides.

There's a rather huge difference of degree.

I find it hard to see how "painstaking" efforts can prevent the loss of civilian life when by all accounts the people are packed in like sardines

Well, the Israelis are doing the best that's humanly possible. They're not magicians. About the only thing that could make the civilian casualties much lower would be if Hamas stopped hiding military assets in civilian areas and turning its subjects into unwitting human shields.

For Israel, doing nothing and just allowing the rocket attacks to continue unabated isn't an option.

When does it stop? Where does it end?

It ends the way all wars end -- when one side decisively defeats the other. The best way we can help the conflict to end is to stop interfering with israel's efforts to finish it.

If the UN had existed in 1944 and kept calling ceasefires to give Germany and Japan time to catch their breath and rebuild their forces, World War II would probably still be dragging on today.

Clearly anonymous (#2) you have not read my blog, at least not thoroughly, as I have written here, and elsewhere, that the Palestinian people are in possession of the same inalienable rights as Israelis. The world community is very quick to stand with the Palestinians to the point of abrogating those rights for Israel. While the world screams and shouts about Israel taking military action in Gaza against a player that is dedicated to her destruction, what voices were heard decrying the thousands of missiles falling on Israel? Where are the declarations of condemnation from the UN Security Council? Where are the protestors?

This blog does not question, and has staunchly defended the rights of the Palestinian people to live free, not only from the collateral damage of Israeli military operations, but from the terror/kleptocracies of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority that have diverted billions of dollars in financial and material aid into their own pockets, and maintain the standard of living in Gaza and the West Bank as such because terror against Israel is a far more profitable business than peace with Israel. You think it is the Israelis that force Gazans to live under the gun? Wrong. It is Hamas who is killing Palestinians on the streets of Gaza City to enforce their regime.

I am not cheerleading the IDF, nor celebrating the deaths of Palestinians, or Israelis. But I will not sit silently while the world declares Hamas heroes and the IDF Nazi baby killers. I will not sit silent in the face of ignorance and prejudice, whether it is targeted at Jews or Palestinians. If you took the time to read this blog more thorougly you would see that.

In fact, before becoming occupied with the seemingly unending ignorance of so-called liberal blogs, the discussion here was being steered toward achieving a permanent resolution to this conflict where Arabs and Jews live in peace, freedom, and without fear. So you can either join that discussion or make knee-jerk reactionary judgements. The choice is yours.

I posted a couple of things in those threads, but since have given up as I don't see any fair in the comments. It has become an Israel bashing fest and I don't want to go there.

It has left me very sad. :-(

I wont be revisiting NO Quarter, they wont like me ..me being half jewish and all ....
and frankly their antisemitism scares the shit out of me .. They must have forgotten that while six million Jews were killed in Nazi Germany, FIVE MILLION others that were NOT Jews were killed ,simply for being oh some other random nationality ... including Irish , English, French and yes even American ...
Five million ...... other than Jews .. similar to what happened in MUMBAI on a much larger scale ...

I am pro-Israel but I hate seeing PUMA blogs splitting up over this. I think Larry Johnson needs to tone down the rhetoric and invite more pro-Israel PUMAs to write. He is more than entitled to his opinion and I don't think either side is innocent in this ongoing tragedy. Hopefully Larry calms down and goes back to criticizing Obama.

Shtuey, I usually enjoy reading what you have to say, however you have missed the mark somewhat here. Many of us "liberals" are horrified by the senseless deaths of hundreds of children. Such "collateral damage" is inhuman and disgusting when the US is to blame, and it is inhuman and disgusting when Israel is to blame. There is no excuse for killing innocent children, no matter what Hamas has done. Believing this does not make me an anti-Semite any more than it makes me unpatriotic.

Shtuey said...

Portia, I agree, the deaths of innocents is horrible, and should be avoided whenever possible. But you miss the mark. Do you not find it disgusting when Israeli children are targeted and killed by Hamas? You seem to have omitted your disgust on that issue.

My complaint is with people screaming bloody murder over Gaza who have sat silently for seven years, while thousands upon thousands of rockets have fallen on Israeli towns. Who spoke out for the hundreds of Israeli children who lost their limbs and lives as a result of being targeted directly, not killed collaterally, by Hamas, the PLO, the PFLP, and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades' homicide bombers, snipers, and rockets?

The people so outraged at Israel now certainly have not been taking to the streets to defend Israel's children. It is an unacceptable level of hypocrisy that tells me that the blood of Jewish children has little or no value to the rest of the world. Those expressing their righteous indignation at the deaths of Palestinians ought to ask themselves why they were so silent for the last seven years, and long before, when it was the PLO killing Israeli children, and Syria shelling Israeli villages. Where was the "disgust" then? Where was Code Pink then? Where were the asshats blogging against Israel then? Whomever sat silent while Israeli children were targeted on buses, and in their schools, ought to be asking themselves why they kept their mouths shut then, but have them open now.

The deaths of innocents are regrettable. Perhaps if the world stood up in defense of Israeli lives like it does for Palestinians, this bloodshed could have been avoided.

Why not read the post here called "Cooking with Gas in Gaza" and see the faces of the hundreds of Israeli children killed by Palestinian terrorists, just between 2000-2005. Where was the American Left then? Nowhere.

Decrying the deaths of innocent children is not unpatriotic or anti-semitic. I never said that was true. Decrying the deaths of Palestinian children and sitting silent while Israeli children die; that's anti-Jewish.

If you feel I have unfairly blanketed the American Left, I disagree. I have been very clear about whom I am talking about. If people read this blog and the shoe fits they ought to feel pretty uncomfortable. If not, then I expect them to stand up for Israeli children with the same vehemence with which they denounce Israel. To do otherwise is an act of prejudice and hypocrisy.

I have not praised the IDF for the deaths of innocents here, or anywhere else. What I am is outraged that the world community has done nothing to help Israel stop the rocketing through legitimate diplomacy, and stopping Hamas from smuggling weapons into Gaza. If you were the Prime Minister of Israel, or the President of the United States and for seven years rockets were falling on your cities and towns, and no one in the world spoke up, or made any attempt to stop it, what would you do?

I was a devoted reader of No Quarter last year, but I left in complete disgust probably a day before you were banned. I wasn't a poster, although I did leave a "goodbye" ... or should I say, a "shalom" ...in the queue that probably never saw the light of day.

I didn't even go back to look.

Honestly, not much sets my eyeballs on fire anymore, but the No Quarter pogrom-a-thon came mighty close.

So let's see ... I'm still not a Republican. I'm not right-wing; the chances for a Come-to-Ronnie moment are slim.

Democrat? Left-wing? Thanks for the super-sized helping of misogyny and anti-semitism - can I have some more, please? Oh, and sometimes I actually get paid to think.

Independent? In a closed-primary state, that means I will have been neutralized.

Mission accomplished.
