It's the same in any lingo

How can one be compelled to accept slavery? I simply refuse to do the master's bidding. He may torture me, break my bones to atoms and even kill me. He will then have my dead body, not my obedience. Ultimately, therefore, it is I who am the victor and not he, for he has failed in getting me to do what he wanted done. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? If not now, when? ~ Rav Hillel, Pirke Avot

What a Surprise?

I'm so pissed I could spit!  I can't get into everything that's transpired since the New Hampshire primary.  I wish I could say that I'm shocked...I wish I could say that I'm stunned.  But of course I can't.  Nothing in politics shocks or stuns me.

I was born in a post JFK assassination world.  We kill our kings with bullets or words.  I've watched the Zapruder film backwards and forwards 100 times.  I had a counselor at camp who was, at the time, a major JFK assassination buff.  He had a copy of it mailed to him and he showed it to us over and over, pointing out all the conspiracy tells.  "Back and to the left.  Back and to the left."  And it's true...there is absolutely no way that Lee Oswald, if he even hit Kennedy at all, or fired his weapon, fired all the shots at Dealy Plaza.  No way.  We will probably never know who it was that pulled the trigger from the so-called grassy knoll (I think it came from the embankment by the overpass provided there was some shrubbery there, not too large or ostentatious.  But that's besides the point.  The point is that the Warren Commission lied, the government of the United States lied, and thus everyone in the Federal Government is, and will always be suspect.  At least that's how it seems when you're 12, and a president was already forced to resign because he was involved in an attempt to sabotage the 1972 election (an election he would have won anyway).  My expectations of elected leaders became pretty low after that.  Thus far I have not been disappointed.

Let's look at how the 2008 race is shaping up shall we?

Governor Richardson has left the race.  If you are desirous of wresting control of the Executive Branch away from the Republican Party I want you to lower your pants, bend over, and spread your cheeks nice and wide because you are most likely about to be fucked in the ass.

The hills are alive with the sound of Obama...and supposedly everyone is creaming themselves over this guy.  When I think about what is scarier; a McCain or Obama presidency I'm seriously thinking Obama.  What if America was hit with a nuclear weapon, a brief case bomb, and a major American city is devastated?  Do I really want Barack Obama in the White House?  What's he going to do, give a speech?  Talk about hope and change?  We've already had one helpless president read "My Pet Goat" and gaze off into space with an insipid look on his face.  We don't need another.

But McCain rolled over so badly in 2000 and has spent most of the past 8 years kissing King Shrub's spotty behind.  I'd be just as afraid of Big Mac as I would Obama.  If it comes down to that in November then I'm voting for my dog again.  At least I'll feel good about my choice.  In fact, I wrote in candidates in 2 out of the 5 presidential elections I've voted in.  It was Harry Hood in 1996 (you can feel good about Hood), and my dog in 2004.  Had I lived in a state where voting for John Kerry (ick) would have made a difference I think I probably would have...voted for my dog.

During the 48 hours surrounding Bill Richardson's withdrawal announcement the media finally decided to pay some attention to him.  Every single media outlet that I heard and read in that time all said that he was probably the most qualified and capable candidate in the entire Democratic field, and most argued that he was the best of either party (which is absolutely true).  But since these same fucking democracy killing douchebags quite deliberately ignored his campaign, he never got the opportunity to catch on with the public (except with those of us who actually fucking pay attention and give a fuck about making up our own minds rather than having Chris Mathews and Bill O' Reilly do it for us...and there are a a lot of us!).  I think that if he could Chris Mathews would stick his tongue up Barack Obama's crack.  He makes me want to puke. I also think that, if he could get away with it, he would tie Hillary Clinton to a rail road track and run her over.

And what of Hillary?  She has been a courageous advocate for women and children in the Senate.  She has been helping to lead the fight against the NRC's plan to turn Yucca Mountain, and its surrounds, into a giant pile of glowing nuclear shit.  And quite frankly, if there were a nuclear terrorist attack on the US I think it would be great to have a woman in the White House.  Why?  Because women think in 3 dimensions and men only think two dimensionally.  A friend of mine was on the support staff of a study on the subject at Towson back in the early 90's which demonstrated this.  Fascinating results which I will not digress on here.  But here's a thought...

When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast the King Shrub responded with vacation and...well...nothing.  In response to 9/11 King Shrub bombed and invaded some stuff.  But what did he do for the victims' families?  What did he do for the citizens of lower Manhattan?  Uh...nothing.

When faced with this type of crisis it's obvious that you bomb whoever hit you...no fucking shit.  But what I know a woman would also know is that survivors need medical care; families need support; at risk children need protection.  I wouldn't count on a man to deliver on that.  But I know a woman would.

With Hillary I worry about her ability to defeat the challenger in November.  I worry about the implications of having the same two families in control of the Executive Branch for possibly 20 years.  But if I have to choose between Barack "I'm still in my diapers and have no plans or programs just platitudes" Obama and Hillary...I'm pickin' Hillary every time.

Obama will certainly lose (the media that loves him now will have most likely destroy him in the next couple months) in November.  Every Republican (and Democrat for that matter) who openly, or secretly dislikes black people will vote against him...and I suspect that's a lot.  So he's got that against him.  Then there are the rest of the Republicans who won't vote for him because they're Republicans.  I hate to say it, but I know this country.

I personally wouldn't vote for him because I know he is not experienced enough to lead us in the post King Shrub world.  Obama isn't going to magically change Washington.  The next President is going to be knee deep in getting us out of, or getting us deeper into Iraq/Iran; will be inhereting a stagnating economy on the fast track to recession with the credit/mortgage show and the gabillion dollar federal tab King Shrub and the Republicans ran up over the past 8 years with their no-bid Haliburton Contract War (the real reason we went into Iraq for you dummies and douchebags out there that haven't figured that out yet).

This is the time for picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off, and starting all over again.  Obama doesn't have the breadth of political experience to take us there.  I don't know if Hillary does or not...the jury's still out on that one.

All I know is that the one candidate that I didn't worry about, the one I know could have won the election and get the job done, is now out of the race and is returning to New Mexico to continue being Governor of the Land of Enchantment.  And I blame you CNN, MSNBC, NPR and all the rest of you douche media outlets that decided last year to just bring us the Clinton/Obama show.  Thanks a lot you fucks.  I hope you're fucking happy.
